I am a British human man who loves Commander! I am currently working on a top 5 list for each and every legendary crature ever printed in my series "The Pantheon"!
I want to highlight that any commander can be a good choice and that no matter how you like to play this wonderful game, there is some unique and fun cards out there for you!
I recently started building this, I've only ever seen Varis played once at my LGS and it slapped the table around pretty hard. Mainly because no one knew what venture/initiative actually did
They really should've created these dean cards with a keyword called "Class Change" where you could pay the mana cost of the other side at Sorcery speed and flip them. This commander as a whole (counting both sides) would be cool.
I started off with Tiamat as a new player Saw the scry mechanic and wanted to make a scrying deck Bought loads of Baldurs Gate, got Elminster Made an Elminster deck Now I feel like a monster, with no heart Got Elminster? = Get Eliminated
platnum angel so that way you can pay your life to 0 and then swap with an opponent. also i run hand and eye of vecna the eye is ok but the hand will turn our demon into a 1 hit kill
The main problem about this deck theme is, that everything is built around the commander and as long he is not on the battlefield, it is just a mixed bunch of cards, where only a few are really good on their own. I think you need a little protection for the commander or a stronger focus on a second strategy like the wolf (and werewolf) theme, because your opponents won't let your commander stay in game, especially later in the game...
If you have a HH equipped with a Life Link equipment and it puts it's ability on the stack, then is killed by removal. Do you still gain life when the ability resolves?
Hey man, I don't think I'll be posting any more magic stuff, I just got sick of doing the video's. I was going through a tricky time at work, and i just stopped making them, and didnt miss it haha. To be honest, ive just been doing other hobbies and enjoying them alot more than magic, I've been making some music recently, so I may end up revamping this channel into some music stuff. Cheers for the support over the years, sorry I can't bring myself to make any more mtg stuff, though.
@@CyclingMTG all good man, these vids did seem like a lot of work not gonna lie, there is like a billion commanders in mtg and they don't seem to be slowing down. Good luck with the new hobbies :D I also tried picking up guitar recently
Hey man, I'm doing good, I just got sick of doing the video's. Felt like an endless treadmill, that was eating me haha. I don't know if I'll come back to doing mtg stuff to be honest, I don't really play at all anymore. I've been making some music recently, so I may end up revamping this channel into some music stuff. Cheers for the support man sorry I can't bring myself to make any more top 5's.
@cyclingmtg awesome to hear back from you. I will bookmark all the ones I liked for future reference. I appreciate all the work you put into the top 5s and hope your future ventures into youtube go well
i actually made this an aggressive deck using her have lil over 440 lands on purpose lots of wolf spawn cards aswell and stuff that make the wolves enter by default with sever +1/+1s on them u basicly exile summon lands each turn aswell
Went to the store for commander night n the guys said it was cute I had chromatic lantern, we had a good laugh, but after a couple games I realized, likely I’m going to be stealing lands from opponents so that’ll have my colors set, Chrom lantern sat in my hand way more than I thought it would That being said I’m pretty new and just figurin out this deck after I cracked Rag the other night
Not all suspend cards repeat themselves. Most don't. But the ones he showed did have the text "exile the card with X counters on it" at the end. So it represents a loop, because on each X-th turn the exiled card will be cast.
Thanks for your ideas. I just built a Fain deck and it’s really quiet fun. Love the treasure and aristocrat synergies with Fain. Plus it’s a commander not many people see, 294 decks on EDHREC
