We are here, as a team of concerned global citizens, to make a positive difference in a global problem we all share. The environment4change team is building a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) that will provide a mechanism for environmentalism to scale beyond its current boundaries, models and paradigms. No current model exists in support of this global endeavour, until now that is!
Kalki Ecosphere has innovated world's most Efficient Mobile Water Purifiers to help reduce dependency on packaged water bottles and eventually reduce single use plastic pollution. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BZiEqOCrLPA.html
Anyone who has had a need of medical help would know that without plastics our medical services would not be affordable or efficient. Plastic packaging saves millions of tons of food waste. Packaging two hinges in unbreakable plastic bubble is not needed.
The only problem I have with zero waste products is that they are 3 times the price than the regular ones, so only a few people with more money can actually shop zero waste for food and other stuff, this needs improvement 😊
Personally, people should avoid using any kinds of plastics. It is causing great harm not only to humans but also to all creatures on earth. We may find plastics everywhere: in oceans, lakes , rivers , on mountains, hills, parks, gardens and so on. This is really terrible. This global issue is of concern to everyone. And its solution is to discontinue producing this product. But why don't they do this? What irresponsibility! What is WHO (World Health Organisation) doing? What is IIED (International Institute for Environment and Development) doing?🤔🤔
What gets me is plastic pollution seems to be a worldwide problem but yet it is not being enforced enough some places have recycling some don't . this has to be an all-out effort of everybody pulling together to make this work, it has to , we all live here.
Plastic continues to be made and used for several reasons: its versatility, cost-effectiveness, convenience, energy efficiency, and durability. However, many efforts are being made to reduce plastic consumption, increase recycling, and find alternative materials that are less harmful to the environment, such as paper, bioplastics, and other eco-friendly options. Switching to paper or other less harmful alternatives requires a change in consumer behavior, industry practices, and policy regulations, which is a complex process that requires collaborative efforts from various stakeholders, including individuals, businesses, and governments.
@@environment4change If we can't stop making plastic products, then I'd say there must be tighter and a lot better rules and laws and strict recycling procedures that will not allow dumping in our oceans or else where .we as people can't afford not to do this. Its our home.
Bamboo is the near perfect material to begin replacing plastic containers. It is a very fast growing plant, it is a wonderful material and almost completely free of the need for sprays or fertilizer and it is completely biodegradable and non-toxic.
Many countries around the world can turn themselve into rainforest but why they dont? Because of human. You cant tell someone to stop destroying their forest when they all need land to "build housing and farms". That the reality.
With human activities today or even in the history by using boats and ships to catch fishes and sending goods around the world everyday? You can understand why many places around the world dont have sea grasses just like corals and much more.
Yes, humans pollute the whole world with their trash. Remember back in Eastern bloc times. We had only few plastic and used it more than once. But the capitalistic west comes in, with all their waste and throwaway society. Why is fishing, one of the most waste producer for seas, not regulated? Why is the plastic not removed from the seas? It don't create profit, that is the reason.
This is the dumbest shit ever. Paper bags are saving through environment because the more paper that ends up in the landfill the more carbon that's locked away underground. Paper comes from mountains specifically used for logging. The more wood and paper we use, the less plastic we use. If we make more things out of real wood, that's more carbon being taken out of the air. Trees are litterally more carbon. The more we log, the more trees get cut down, and replanted with new ones, thus taking more and more carbon out of the air. Old trees don't take much carbon out. New trees take far more.
