No Faking way!!! and I thought it was already canceled!!! I was really looking forward to this game!! especially because it is based on Megaman 3, since I was surprised that you added the mechanic of loading the Mega buster!! I will look forward to it!!
Great work I love the latest version. Only gripe I have is the protoman masking up at gemini man stage. Is it possible to make it where its like Revamped and he is breakman until he unmasks after the bossfight? Would love to hear from you.
Glad its back I had to ask why does Rapid man look less megaman-ish? Like his thighs are thick unlike RMs and he has chicken feet which doesnt make any sense
Ah hey there fakemega. Well, i let him know before i uploaded this, that i do "not" want him to see this video at all, because I want his experience to be 100% blind. And yes, for that reason too about him being my favorite game player/twitch streamer.
This is absolutely SICK, what an awesome surprise to see. At this rate, I have no doubt it'll end up as one of the all time best MM rom hacks, which is not a small accomplishment by any means.
Yea i really wanted to do as much as I could for mm3 improve, to appeal to both romhack authors, and regular normal players. I recently updated mm3 improve to 3.0 because someone new in the community this year added the FamiTracker music engine to all 6 NES megaman's. Making it possible for anyone to import famitracker songs in seconds literally. So i added that to mm improve (and some other things)
Perfecting what Gensokyo and previous RM2 hacks tried. I really hope other hacks use this as a base(RM2AS is… well, it is what it is), but I guess it's kind of redundant when RM5 is already a thing.
Man I haven't heard from this project in quite a while,Im really happy to see it's still being worked on,Im loving what I am seeing so far, keep up the great work, can't wait for the full version. 👍
i would recommend having reverse weapon switching with SELECT + down in future hacks/updates, it's cumbersome accidentally tapping it too much and going over the weapon i want
you can find every new years hack on romhacking dot net - just search for Rockman 2018 new years hack on google or any of the years from 2014 to 2022 on google and you'll find the links to them.
@@kujakiller here's the thing...2018 one has a virus for some reason and the patcher has a error message everytime i do something (i'm only missing 2018 and 2020)
oh no im very sorry to hear that happen to you. but i can assure you everything by puresabe is 100% safe - it's just a false positive by your virus scanner. There is nothing wrong with his stuff. I would post a link to the ROM for you directly, but it's impossible to on youtube because my comments get auto deleted anytime i try. So we have to talk somewhere else.
Ah cool, i'll try to see your stream if you do tonight/today --- but...only if you remove your "verified accounts only" message from your twitch chat. i do NOT own a cell phone...
Ah interesting, i never really noticed that myself before. Yea i can defintely see that now, pretty cool. I really like levianthan alot i actually did base 1 or 2 of these attacks from her AI's in the Zero games. But it just cant look exactly like on GBA because of NES limits, i really wanted to have a large "forcefield" thing around her like one of levianthans attacks, but all i could do was show that spinning blizzard particles effect you see duing some of the jumps.
Well, the patch is works, just in one hack not correctly, which is the 1.3 version of No Constancy. Firstly the sprites gets glitched, and then because of the damage data of the patch, the Za Warudo weapon is unusable.
Yes i replied to one of the other people that mentioned the select bug. Again, i did not fix it cause i simply dont know how. And it does happen in some other mm2 hacks as well.
yea, i called it that because I just wanted something different than regular "mega buster" -- and the Ruby Spears megaman cartoon i think called it "plasma cannon" a few times.
I managed to finish this whole game from start to finish, and while i wasnt able to read anything except basic attack names (during battles and the equip screens) - it does go all the way to the end of the series (anime) with nia disappearing at the end (in the game)
do you mean me ? another hack like this for mm1 ? no sorry i have no intention on ever doing anything for mm1, nor ever had in the past. i have no knowledge whatsoever about mm1 rom-hacking wise.
Hmmm... sorry if it's asking for too much, but could you include the game itself with it, and these abilities already applied? So we could still keep our regular Mega Man 2 games (I guess most of us are simply playing NES games on PC emulators such as Jnes, and I assume you intended this to be added to these emulator games (I'm not sure if I'm right, sorry but I'm not THAT good with computers), and at the same time have different (yours) version of the game with sliding, charging and quick weapon change already included in it?
I'm not sure what you mean. It's pretty confusing. If you mean posting the ROM with the patch applied already, I cant post roms directly in public. It's not hard at all, just use "lunar IPS" from romhacking.net to apply IPS patches to your ROM.
@@kujakiller Sorry if it's confusing, I'll try to be simpler: Why don't you just post Mega Man 2 game itself for download, with these abilities included in it? So we just download the whole game with sliding/charging/quickWeaponChanging and play it? It can be on it's own emulator, or just compatible with regular NES emulators out there. For example, there is "AVGN vs Dr.Wily", which is very similar to what you did - It's Mega Man 2, just with Mega Man replaced by AVGN (Angry Video Game Nerd), you play as him, and there are some minor additions in terms of more enemies. This game (ROM) is easily foundable on the internet, you just download it and play on any NES PC emulator, and you don't have to do anything to regular Mega Man 2 game that you already have and play on your NES emulator, this AVGN game can perfectly coexist with regular Mega Man 2, and both can be played on the same emulator. That's what I mean. However, if you don't want do post a whole game with these abilities included for legality reasons, then I get it. But yeah, I'm sure it's not hard at all like you say, but unfortunately I don't know how to do that :D Honestly, I don't know what "lunar IPS" is or how to "apply IPS pathes", maybe I sound stupid now but I'm just an ordinary guy, with an average knowledge about PC technology :D I can install games such as GTA, Need for Speed etc. on my computer, but that's where my knowledge stops. For this same reason I can't play Rockman 4 Minus Infinity, because I can't find the game itself anywhere to download, I only found the same thing like yours, on the same website, which I assume means I can't have both "Mega Man 4" and "Rockman 4 Minus Infinity" at the same time, but instead must convert my "Mega Man 4" to "Rockman 4 Minus Infinity" by adding the downloaded content to Mega Man 4 (just like I'd have to do in this case with Mega Man 2)
Well i guess your talking about the actual game in real life like on a physical cart ?? I dont know anything about putting roms on actual NES carts, sorry. Or how people even do that. But i'm surprised you've never played a romhack ever before. First go to some rom download site (just google it) and get a Megaman 2 NES rom. Next: go here and get this: www.romhacking.net/utilities/240/ Now since you have the mm2 slide/charge patch, click "apply patch" on that program, select the Megaman 2 slide/charge IPS file, then select your mm2 rom and click OK/Apply or whatever in the window. And your done. Then you can play it in your emulator like fceux, or jnes.
No bud, I never said anything about actual cartridge. I was talking about just a PC version of game, for an emulator (from what I understand, those computer versions of games are called "ROMS"). I said I do play my games on PC, through an emulator. That means I have the games on PC (I was never sure what "ROM" is but like I said I guees that's what a small game file that you play on an emulator is called). I said "Why don't you post 'Mega Man 2' game itelf for download, with these abilities included?", how can one download a NES cartidge from the internet? I was clearly talking about the version of game that can be played on the computer through an emulator, not about NES cartridge of the game. Although I'm not sure, I think "romhack" is a modified game, such as for example Super Mario Bros' version where Mario can fly, Looney Toons Adventures where you play as Mario instead of Bugs Bunny, Mega Man 2 where you play as AVGN (the game I mentioned in my previous comment), and that kind of games. If that's what you're talking about, yes I did play that kind of games before. But I was always able to find the whole game itself with modifications included. So I didn't have to manually add the modifications to the original game that these modifications are intended for. In other words, I could have both games at the same time: I could keep the original game, and get another modified version of the game. Do you understand now what I'm saying?
Oh i see. Well. Just have a backup copy of your .NES file then. keep the original file in 1 folder, -- copy it to another folder, then apply the patch there to that. ...if you dont have a backup, then re-download it again from whatever ROM website you got it from... just dont keep the "same file" in the "same folder" on your computer, or whatever ...i guess.
