Very familiar! A few weeks ago I flew a full-size professional 737-800 pilot training simulator (first time flying something this big after having flown small planes decades ago), and after a few takeoffs and dodgy landings at Karlsruhe Baden, the 737 pilot instructor decided to up the game and had me take off in Salzburg and land in Innsbrueck. I managed it, and not a much harder landing than this, but a huge pucker factor. After downwind, the base is actually the s-curves seen here, then the short final over the river off the runway, and a runway only 6000 feet long. Missed the taxiway and had to turn at the end, but what an incredible place. Felt like an aircraft carrier TBH!
Partially you flew the almost historic path of the old West Approach via the now abandoned KTI NDB, the very first IFR approach to Innsbruck. Once in sight of the value a Localizer DME equipment took over which guided you savely between the mountains on the left side of the valley. When visual you made a right turn back to the city.
Dat is echt een fantastische video om te zien. Mooi ook om over Amsterdam zelf heen te vliegen. En ook heel mooi hoe de muziek langzaam uitgaat en dan de cockpit hoorbaar is. Hopelijk wilt u vaker filmen als u richting Amsterdam gaat of de aankomst Rotterdam. Ik wens u het beste voor 2020 en veel fijne vlieguren.
