Hello and welcome!! My name is Michelle and I’m so glad you’re here. I am a Mom of 4 grown kids and Nana to 8. I live in a 100+ year old farmhouse in a small town in Illinois, USA. I’ve been making a house a home for 40+ years and would like to help you do that, too. My style is eclectic and consists mainly of thrift store finds. I love vintage, shabby chic, cottage core, farmhouse and boho styles. I hope you will SUBSCRIBE to my channel and join me as I thrift, upcycle, repurpose and DIY all the treasures I find along the way. XOXO Michelle
I saw another commenter who said they put lace around the area the camera area is, so she doesn’t go outside there, and everyone can see what you’re doing. The “X” is good, but that isn’t a very big area, so maybe put a line of tape around the area. 😊
I haven’t heard the word “gauchos,” since the seventies. 😂 I love it. I just love your channel. You crack me up. 😂 I am loving your creativity. I am an eclectic type of person, I like unique stuff. I am not so much the neutral bohemian, but I do like this jewel toned bohemian look.
I love, love, love, that sofa. So vintage looking. ❤❤❤ Edit: So vintage mid century modern looking. I can see and feel the plastic covering that they used to put over top of their furniture, to protect it, so glad that isn’t a trend anymore. 😂
I think the colors you chose were great. If you look into the trees, at the very top, the green of the picture goes right into the green of the mat. Also, the red is great for picking up those darker reds, but when you added the gold, it just made it awesome, because I didn’t even notice her hair, until you added that gold. So, I think it is great. I can’t believe you had the fortitude to tear that mat off. 😳😬😂 I would have been so afraid to do that. 😂 It really looks great. Thanks for sharing. 😊
I hate to drive too, my daughter is still home, so she drives me everywhere. I don’t like to go on long trips, short trips, any of it, because I love being home. I have friends that are never home, because they get “bored” at home, I love being “ bored” at home, but trust me, I am not bored, I can always find something to do. 😂 They either live at work, or are out running around and spending all the money they make at work. No thanks, that isn’t for me. I don’t like money and all that material stuff all that much, material stuff that has to have a brand name, of course, 🙄 I prefer being in nature and seeing the world the Good Lord has given us. 😊❤❤❤ I like your projects, you are doing something unique, I am so tired of seeing the same old stuff, all the time. If I see another dollar tree video, which is really just an advertisement for expensive paints and IOD everything, I think my head will explode. It’s so boring, at this point. Those people put dollar tree in their title, to get views, but you need to spend $100 to make it, no thanks. Not that I want dollar tree stuff all over my home, but I like to see creativity, and painting something, slapping an IOD mold/transfer and a bow on it, and calling it done, is not creativity. As an artist, I appreciate artistic and creative minds, and that stuff is just boring. I don’t care if they advertise, by all means, go ahead, but at least have some creativity. I think IOD hurt the crafting community, and everyone’s stuff just looks the same at this point, and the creators lost their creativity. Thanks for using some creativity in your projects. 😊
I like the shape of that frame. I have several old oval frame, only two with the glass, though, that is domed. One is my mom’s, and one I picked up at the goodwill, and the others I have no idea where they came from. My mom had velvet in hers, with sticks forming separate areas where she had dried flowers, in the separate spaces. It hung on our walls for years. I want to redo it, so I hope we have some pictures of how she had it, because I don’t remember exactly how it was. I never wear shoes or socks, I hate them. 😂 I mean, I wear them to work and shop, but I can’t wait to get them off my feet.
I used wool dryer balls you can get in The laundry section but I think you could use anything in the shape of a ball you would just have to cover it with strips of fabric and then sew the face onto the fabric part because it wouldn’t go through the tennis ball.
Yes, they turned out good! It really was easy. Just be in a ventilated place if you use spray paint otherwise you can be inside. Thanks so much for watching, I appreciate you so much!!
I’m so glad you like it. I really enjoyed putting it together. I love taking a bunch of this and that and making something unique. Thanks so much for subscribing and binge watching!!🥰
Oh my goodness! I absolutely love this! Just found your channel this morning. I’ve been binge watching! Lol! You do the same type of things that I do. A little bit of everything with what you have. I love it!
I’m so sorry that you lost your husband. I lost mine 12 years ago on the 23rd of September. I have lived with my brother since then. I know a little about what you have gone through. Just wanted to let you know that you aren’t alone. Keep your head held high. I’ll be praying for you.
I will stop complaining about my neighbors after seeing what you have to deal with. Fabulous idea and it turned out beautifully. I hope your neighbor gets his stuff done. It looks like an industrial yard.
If you wanted to do less colors, you could just find a couple of sheets you like or curtains at the thrift store or something like that. I just collected so much stuff I wanted to use it and this really was perfect project for it. Happy crafting!
