I hope we can resign him. He put up 20 goals and 27 assists for 47 points in 50 games. Only three shy of a point per game. Imagine if he played a full season. Detroit would probably be in the playoffs. I think if he stays healthy for the most part and plays 70ish to 82 games he can get to 30 goals
Seeing him in a wings jersey just puts a tear to your eye as corny as it sounds lol imagine telling a wings fan in 2014 they’d have Patrick Kane. Sure not in his prime, but he still shows glimpses.
Why didn't I get out to the Ceasars arena? Mann, what a time to be a Red Wings fan this year! Like we had Patrick Kane, bro! One of the coolest thing's ive ever go to witness.
Karma is a dirty bitch.. Detroit called Kaner "Jeffrey Dahmer" for 10 years.. Now they have a dumpster patch on their jersey and an early tee time. Enjoy the new franchise record for most years of missed playoffs. 🚮
He's a difference maker for sure. I can think of about 10 points in the standings the wings got solely because of his clutch factor. I think he enjoys being a difference maker and could end up resigning. I think he values that just as much as cups
getting a "showtime 88" tattoo or something like that if re-signs with the Wings man he was my favorite player for the decade before he signed here he'll be one of my favorite wings ever if he stays.
Great fit in Detroit! I've always been a fan of his talent and it was awesome he came to the D. I think he will stay here and finish his career in Detroit. Would be amazing to see him lift the cup in a wings jersey!
Glad to see you don’t understand how much scoring against Chicago meant to him that he had to push one of his teammates out of the way to go celebrate but go off
Stevie Y has some hard choices this off season, he has at least 3 good forwards in the AHL in Berggren, Kasper and Mazur who are knocking at the door, personally if I were him I would try to move Berggren along with a bad or so-so contract (Holl if at all possible) or another contract that will help the cap to keep Kane and I would give him his term - 3 or 4 years (LTIR if he gets hurt), you get not only his scoring which I see remaining on the PP for at least a couple seasons but his presence excites the fans and team and he can then mentor Raymond and the aforementioned current AHLers, will it happen, probably not, their cap space is going to be super tight once they get Seider and Raymond taken care of and the way it looks right now without something really creative like that, looking at roster and cap situation the Wings could very well take a step backwards next season.
Grew up a Wings fan from the 90s/2000s height of our dynasty days. Kane was always one of my favorite players to watch around the NHL. Was really excited about his signing, though I never got to see him play in person. Hopefully he sticks around and that’ll happen next year. Haven’t been to a live game in 10 years. But when I go, I’ll be rocking my Red Wings 88 Kaner jersey my dad got me for Christmas.
As much as I want Kaner to have another shot at the Cup, I really do think he was a good fit for Detroit and vice versa. He did so much more in half a season than I (and probably everyone else) expected coming off such an invasive surgery. As someone who has won the Cup 3 times and has a breadth of playoff experience, Kaner was also clearly an inspiring influence for the team as well. He lit up in a way he hadn’t for years in a Chicago. Wishing him all the best moving forward!
appreciate the work and the style but the passing highlights were pretty much totally absent. the beauties to Larkin at Calgary, Cat at Edmonton, Fabbri vs Washington, Larkin at Toronto, plus a few more, all belong in any reel, and w the right angles chosen. Also strong disagreement on not showing the glass punch celly from the angle showing the girls' faces who were hitting the glass, that was the whole fun of that celly.
Baby come back, any kind of fool could see there was something in everything about you 🎶 🎶 🎵 Thank you patrick kane for wearing the winged wheel. It fit you very nicely and it was an absolute honor 🥇 hope its still fits next year!!!
1:49 I was at this game. So fucking amazing to see live. (Its about a 6hr drive to Detroit so I usually only go to one game every year and I picked a good one) LCA was rocking that 2nd period was nonstop.
@clydeblair9622 I was using it as an example. People thought yzerman wasn't a good defensive player. It's just an example. Relax. But real talk, kane was never defensive player. Even in his prime. I get it. But he did his job for us and our team was lacking someone with high hockey IQ and an elite and creative passer. He knows how to create space and draw players where they shouldn't go to create scoring opportunities. Last 2 months no one on are team besides raymond larkin and kane looked like they could even handle a pass or skate the puck in offensive zone. No hostility dude. So please don't take offense to anything I said. We're just talking. What r ur thoughts on if we should keep kane if he is willing to re sign and yzerman makes him a decent deal?
Big Kaner fan !!! ( ducks fan ) but Man I hope he resigns he fit prefect !! In that team what he did in half a season I can imagine a full season and some key pieces this team is crazy !!
