I came to my room to listen to this and cry, I did, at moments, but it mostly had the opposite effect. Words can’t describe what this music is, I was planning to put a single word here, but couldn’t find one, there isn’t one.
This is a masterpiece of a decade. Still, hard to believe, it it failed to win an Oscar. It went to a pop political trash movie. What world are we living in...
One of the greatest movie soundtracks ever. Amelie is not my kind of film at all but this glorious soundtrack made me love it. What higher accomplishment can a soundtrack have? French musical genius is so often understated and whimsical, but harboring always a hard undertow of passion, Debussy, Satie, Francois Hardy, the chansonniers
I love the movie Amélie! She lives in an unreal, dream version of Paris. It is a place of beautiful contrasting colours, of eccentric characters, where the only music is that of a quaint, nostalgic accordion. Amélie does not try to define what Paris is really like - it is set in a world of its own, which makes a welcome relief from all the other movies that try to capture the city's gritty realities. Amélie also celebrates life's small pleasures: the heroine loves breaking the hard crust of her crème brulée with a spoon, she enjoys plunging her hand in a bag of grains when she visits the greengrocer, and she loves skimming stones on the Canal Saint Martin. Every time I watch it -- I fall in love again.
I knew it was an unreal dream version of Paris. I’m just disappointed to learn just how far removed from reality it really was. The world is considerably darker and harsher. In the past it wasn’t quite as draconian as it is now.
Actually saw this film in the movies when it first came out and it was actually very good. I was in the 10th grade at the time and was my first film in subtitles which was very interesting and different to me at the time.
Un saludo. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5j1gppDgxZo.html Beautiful and charming music. I allowed myself to wear it at sunrise yesterday, February 7, 2024.
Whenever I’m coming back to this soundtrack I always look for the one I like the most but, every time, I’m am reminded all of it sound like the one I like the most
