This is so horrendous on every level. Just 0 to 100 from the start, no timing, no personality, no groove. Just pure furious masturbatory nonsense from the entire band.
Their Hair cost more than the production of this.... wow.... Some Producer told these guys "You are Awesome!! YOU ARE going places !!!" wow what a big back of SUCK.... The ONLY thing on fire was the guy at the end... which really summed up this entire band....
“We’re not sure your resume fits our needs with this company. Is there anything else you can think of that might sway us into hiring you?” “Well, I was set on fire in a Vinnie Vincent Invasion video in 1986.” “ I see. That’s unfortunate. We’ll be in touch, and by the way, we don’t validate.”
I reckon VV's solo on this track is totally over the top bombast, but to be fair, I've never heard the full album, only this single..that being said, the truth is Vinne was perfectly capable of playing a melodic, easy to assimilate, killin guitar solo when he felt like it; Kiss' 'Saint And Sinner' on COTN and 'A Million to One' and 'All Hells' breaking' Loose' on 'Lick It Up' are excellent instances of Vinnie's more accessible soloing skills.
For those who don't know, this is the story. Mark Slaughter sent a demo audition tape to Vinnie, which he loved and wanted him to sing on the debut album. Problem was, Mark's ex forgot to include his contact info with the tape. Oops. Vinnie tried for a year to find him, and couldn't, so he hired Robert as a session singer for the album. He finally found Mark before this video was shot, so he lip synced Robert's vocals and went on tour with them, with Iron Maiden and Alice Cooper. Robert didn't "quit" because he was always going to be replaced as soon as they found Mark.
This kicks the stuffing out of Nitro’s Freight Train for most ridiculous hair metal video of all-time. I think it’s the totally random “stuntman on fire” that does it for me
Woe they blew it all up at the end abit of Kiss of course and Who in the mix.Was playing this on one of my CD Comps amazing the Glam Scene and Metal of my era class of 85-89 so many fine Artists with slick and style to love this Genre because. To be blessed and part of the greatest decade of all time never to forget miss it so much oh hail the 80s atmosphere could harp on and explain vibes and feelings like no other time or place in history
A great song Mark Slaughter has a powerful beautiful voice that touches everyone's heart. The 80s is the best decade for heavy metal rock n rock music. 😎🤘🤘🎸🎸🎸🎸🌹🌹❤️❤️🏋️🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🎸🎸🌹
They did an In-Store at Tower records when this came out. I also went to a listening party. Was great times in Anaheim ,packing the van with friends and heading to Hollywood.
It would of been nice to hear Mark sing the Video like he did the Concerts.. I get that Flieshman sang the album but when he didnt stay they should of re issued the album agter hiring Mark Slaughter... Ots sad really , Vinny brought about amazing changes to Kiss but since Gene And Paul controlled the band they were hard on alot of the musicians so when he went solo ego and control took over,I xant imagine Vinnie was bad from the start and just spent to spend like Mark complained about but then Mark being put there to babysit brought an end to a great and regardless of what Slaughter brought later Vinnie was great with the right people and did some great music but ego , selfishness and greed destroyed another great band and era of Metal in the 80's...
Is it just me or is Vinny a little creepy? Knowing what a scumbag he was/is doesn’t help. He is an extremely talented guitarist but his Ego and inability to keep that giant ego in check caused him to have no one willing to work with him. He’s also known for pretty much being a shady character that will take your money, lie cheat snd steal to get ahead. He’s pretty much an awful excuse for a human.
Proud my to be thebwise men and woman of todyas age..now.. GEN X forever ... GEN X ... we had it all. First video game players and systems. And then MTV.
