Same thing just happened to me, 16 weeks, went for a gender reveal, we were told our baby had no heartbeat. I’m desperate to be pregnant again but I’m terrified

Our stories are almost identical. I, too, found out something was seriously wrong with my baby at an ultrasound boutique. My baby was diagnosed with severe hydrops fetalis, Turner’s syndrome (she only has 1 X sex chromosome) and a large cystic hygroma going from her forehead to the end of her spine. I found out at 17 weeks and 1 day. Today, I am 20 weeks and 5 days and her heart is still beating. I chose to continue on with my pregnancy and wait for her to naturally pass away. With that being said, I am so sorry you experienced such a traumatic thing. I am so scared to give birth to her but I know in my heart it’s what’s best for me. I commend you big time for making the hard decision to terminate. Sometimes I wish I was strong enough to make that decision because the waiting game has been brutal. Again, I am so sorry. 😔

I feel like you’re the strong one. I often feel like I was the weak one to make that choice. What’s really sad is I never got to see him or hold him. The day after the diagnosis his heart rate was already down to 60bpm so I knew he was already on his way to passing. I’m so sorry your baby has so many things fighting against her.

@@tracysalinas7323 I’m so sorry you were not able to see him or hold him. I can’t imagine how difficult that must be for you. I wish there was a different method.. it’s truly not fair to mothers dealing with this kind of thing. All he ever knew was your love. If you felt it in your heart and soul, I truly believe you made the right decision. Often times I feel selfish for mine.. what if the drs are lying to me and she’s in pain? It’s all way too much for anyone to deal with. The unknowns are profound and devastating all at once. His little foot prints are so precious and I’m so thankful you have those. You are SO far from weak, your decision was selfless and made out of love. No mother should ever lose her baby.. not like this, not ever. My heart is with you. ♥️

I just found out 3 days ago at my anatomy scan that my baby has hydrops. Fluid in the heart, lungs and skin. I have the super long app with the ultrasound tech and maternal fetal medicine in 3 days. This is my first pregnancy and probably one of the hardest things ive ever been through. Im 20 weeks today.

I’m so sorry. When I had my scan, the dr did say if it was just hydrops it can go away or be treated in vitro. I’ll be praying for you. The long ultrasound was very hard to sit through.

Yes I was able to have two healthy pregnancies after my loss. I waited almost two years before trying again because honestly I wasn’t sure if emotionally I could handle it. Thankfully my doctors helped my anxiety by letting me have more ultrasounds. I am so sorry you are going through this.

Hello Tracy, please what was your treatment like?, Did you take any meds to prevent it from reoccurring in another pregnancy?..i lost my baby at 26 week due to the fluid in his stomach.. it's a horrible experience and i don't want to ever go through this again.

The termination of the pregnancy was the worst experience of my life to date. When I got pregnant with my rainbow baby, we were moving to Mexico for a life reset so I was not working and able to focus on my well being along with my baby. I know not everybody can do that but without the stresses of work I could focus on my pregnancy. Im so sorry for your loss. I know the pain you are feeling and wish you all the healing, physically and emotionally.

The doctors told me it was a fluke that this happened, nothing was genetically wrong and no infection was detected.
