We are Disney fanatics who have visited the parks more than 100 times. We were trying to find a way to get to Disney during a pandemic...so we bought an RV. Join us on our adventures as we learn about our Airstream and visit the most magical place in the world.
Thank you so much for this! As you know, the Animal Kingdom is soon to undergo a major re-theming. This Airstream may be removed and lost to a backstage junkyard. Cindy and I have been working with Airstream Inc. to try and get it moved to the Airstream Heritage Center in Jackson Center, Ohio as a culturally significant Airstream should Disney decide they no longer want it. Believe it or not, they are actually interested. I have made a contact in Orlando who "knows Disney executives" so this project is still in the concept stage but ongoing. I didn't have a video of the inside so I will be sending a link to your vid to our contact at Airstream. This will be very helpful...
That is really neat! I hope we can help you to save this Airstream. How special would that be, two Airstreaming Disney RU-vidrs making magic! Let us know how else we can help!!
80 psi is a little much. I know the tire sidewall recommends that but on the Airforum page it seems everyone recommends 65psi. It is a less bouncy ride and doesn't sway as much or shake things up too much inside.
about the sink, this is where Thor true colors are coming out of this beautiful airstream that you have. Shame. also with 37 gallon of water on board leaves you with under 700 lbs of cargo carry capacity, this does not seem alot but they do tow well. May I ask how much do the rv shop charge to wax the exterior? or what works for you to keep the aluminum looking in show room condition...
Hi, it shouldn’t be a problem. We’ve seen huge units park here. It all depends on which site you get and which loop as some loops have bigger spaces depending on location. Visit the website of Wilderness Princess and they have all the sites and photos of each with ratings of how easy it is to back into it (wildernessprincess.net). Hope this helps!
It seems folks are split between queen or the two beds. The floor space is nice but we personally prefer the one large bed. But it’s good to have the choice. Thanks for the comment.
I agree the fabric cushions and upholstery is hard to keep clean especially while camping. I have found that lately airstream cabinetry quality isn’t as good as it used to be. I definitely agree with the husband that the Classic 33 was the best. I’m a big guy and the bathroom on the 33 is worth loosing seating at one end of the trailer. The only problem with that is on some models you can get the hatch with a dinette on one end which I also love for fast loading and oversized items. Great job on fast editing on the walk throughs. Cheers from Florida 🌴🌴🌴👍
Wow. Thank you for sharing your experience. I can’t believe all of the issues you have had in just one year! I was going to purchase a Bambi tomorrow but my mind has changed. The quality and workmanship is below average. Thank you.
Are these Airstream repair facilities understaffed? 2 months minimum lead time seems pretty bad. Also, customer service seems really, really bad. When you have to repeatedly call without a call back, that tells me utterly poor service.
It’s hit or miss from our experience. Airstream of Fort Myers never called us back , while the Tampa store did. The lead time varies on what the issue is and what parts are needed. But I agree, for the price, the experience should be a lot more customer friendly and the warranty should be bumper to bumper . I’ve had better experiences at my Ford dealer.
Yes , some people like gas ovens as oppose to convection ovens for their camping preference. At some point, Airstream used to offer both, a gas oven and the option of having a convection microwave oven.
There are alot of reviews on youtube over airstreams and this has to be my most favorite one because you quickly get a comparison on all the other choices. Erica gave alot of great insight to why she did or didn't like certain layouts and it really helped me come to the same conclusion.... POTTERY BARN!!!!
Classic 33FB, because that's what we have . My husband put a 3 inch lift on her . BTW, the bed raises & comes in handy when you want to "recline". My heart was always set on a 23 foot Flying Cloud (double axle & tow with a F150) But we snagged this at a great deal from RU-vidrs. You can't go wrong with any Airstream~
We looked at the Pottery Barn, but the way we camp we couldn't justify the fabric covering on the couch. Although the 33 Classic bathroom was nice, how much time do you spend in a bathroom? After that the couch position isn't in a optional position in the 33. We decided the 30 Foot Classic would fit our style. After year in it we a very pleased with the layout. We also went from a queen bed in our previous 25 Foot Airstream to the twin beds in our Classic. The twin bed are so much better than the queen bed models. It adds floor space and each person has a few more inches in width and length vs. the queen bed model.
Hi, I appreciate your comments. I do see the fabric on the pottery barn as an issue. That’s the one thing I think needs improvement. Great feedback on the layouts between the 33 and 30 as well as the bed configurations. This was really helpful.
waiting for them to build a 33ft Classic w/ the same design from Pottery Barn plus add the 3in lift and 16" tires while adding solar and true 4 season rated
I had a 25 ft Flying Cloud, queen bed ( west/east) I sold it when gas prices were crazy.....anywho...my future AS will be a twin bed....you actually get more room compared to a queen....and you appreciate the split bathroom....one can shower, while the other gets ready....I'm looking to buy a 27ft International or Globetrotter in a few years
Maybe it's just me, but I've had two campers and never used warranty. I just fixed it myself and I'd hire an Airstream specialty repair shop to fix anything large like front end separation. I trust no dealership to care enough or be trained enough.
Oh how I love my dog and would love to travel with him outside of work (truck driver and co pilot, respectively) but my guy has a nervous breakdown if I walk more than 10 feet from him but as of late he's been really excited to be left at the groomers and also very excited to be taken to the back of his vet clinic for x-rays. I really would like to visit Disney again and I hope they'd treat my pup like a friend because he needs the companionship of other people
Eva-Dry was what I was looking for. We get a lot water 💦 out of our #EscapePod using it. We missed The seminars did listen to one influencer in the building really couldn’t hear the questions or answers. Figured we just watched a RU-vid. Please do a video when you have to reseal your roof Tampa of airstream is saying $1400
the twin bed units have MUCH more storage than the queen do.. for old farts where waking up my wife is priority.. we do twins in campers and king at home... but the storage is the big advantage of my twin camper
