The concept works, but the polarity you state in the text is wrong. You did it right in the video though. The steel rod should be connected to the negative lead and the wire to be cleaned to the positive lead. Works very well if you do it like that. It's a ion-current that flows and removes the oxide. Ions are positively charged and flows from positive to negative, in contrary of electrons that is negatively charged and flows from negative to positive.
I should have read the comments first. I followed the instructions to a tee and got a more corroded wire than when I started. Wish I would have known that beforehand...
He stated it correctly. It's an e-tank. Part to be cleaned is connected to the negative terminal and is the cathode. The steel rod is connected to the positive terminal and is the anode, which attracts the crud. It's how I strip cast iron pans, de-rust the inside of mc fuel tanks, etc...
just putting the wire in vinegar like that does not cause it to bubble, with the other wires connected like he says.. It must be a acid he is putting the wire in. I had to try it myself, DIDN"T WORK
RTFM... No, just connecting and then putting the wire into vinegar wouldn't cause it to bubble... but that's not what the instructions say to do either...
It’s not just vinegar, it’s a “vinegar solution”. The vinegar has baking soda in it. Also his description is wrong, you must connect the Positive to the cable to be cleaned and the Negative to your sacrificial Metal. You can do this on Steel also and you don’t need vinegar, you just use water and baking soda and a 12 V trickle charger.
@@AutitsicDysexlia If you notice i was referring to "like that" to what the video shows . I didnt know i would have to draw a picture or make a video for you to understand what i said
+Claudia Pullen I have plenty of footage of your car ! lol ! you guys were great out there ! sorry everyone didnt make the highlight reel ! I needed a quick video to please the masses ! Our full stage videos will be posted starting tonight and i promise you will be happy :)
Great footage and fun to watch! How many stages on how many different roads? What was the total stage miles? I'm surprised you don't have the footage of the roll of the Neon at the end. Did it crash other than where you were, and then you ran to see the wreck?
+TheMisfit1210 Thanks for the quick reply! I don't do the Facebook thing, but I may start to see some more of this. The last time I was at a rally was Sno*Drift 2009.
+snowrocket check the ESPR website for more event info . I believe it was 14 stages close to 150 miles . Footage of the neon crash is in our full stage 1 video which will be posted this evening . We heard the crash and ran to see if the team was ok ! Glad you liked the video !
FYI, Back in the 70s All mazda rx3 in Indonesia were crash, even worst than this... Maybe They didn't get used to "No engine brake" So if you ever find one, I can make sure it must have 808 nose cone.. I used to have 1 thou..
Fuk yeah Matt! How can I get a copy of this on vinyl? 9 years ago and nobody noticed Skeet himself replied to this? I just found this video today. Great track it still rocks in '23!
