New Subscriber, Up Button Clicked and my comment: XTool Support Issues? -I realize that tech support across a lot of companies can be lacking. I have seen some really bad reviews of xTools support. Its the one outstanding item for me before I push the buy button. Can I depend on xTools to be there with good customer support?

Nice and good video, shit (mistakes) happen, but i like your idea of upgradings. I think, you have -and so have i- learnd a lot to avoid these mistakes to create a solution. Oh don’t worry it will loosen up pretty quick. you could put it in the dryer WITH NO HEAT just to make it move around a bunch and loosen up but honestly it should be good within the month of wearing it

I would never chose this tool for drilling a house rough in , however, it is absolutely awesome for automotive underdash work.I did high end car audio for decades. I replaced my old school makita 9.6 volt ( which was the only game in town 30 years ago) stick battery with this tool. Super compact and more than enough balls for anything 7.8, 10 mm.

What a brilliant guide-video! Professional, informative, precise - and yet, witty and fun to watch!!! Thanks a tonne, for that! One small confusion remained... and it would be great if you could point me to something that explains the point further - The idea around the 'clock markings' on your spacer blocks... I get what you mean by marking four positions (12 - 3 - 6 - 9 o'clock) on the blocks - as well as how you rotate them on each progressive wall-cleat assembly... What I DIDN'T get is how that "negates prior errors"?! Another query I had, was regarding a particular 'problem' I am trying to solve at the moment... How can an 'object cleat' be LOCKED in a scenario where there is only ONE 'wall cleat' assembled?? And ideally, the 'lock mechanism should NOT involve any OTHER additional 'installation' on the WALL! Thanks in advance, A DIYer on the wrong-side-of-fifty, who's just beginning to delve into woodworking.
@BitnerBuilt
@BitnerBuilt 4 дня назад
Thanks. The spacer block was honestly overdone to avoid nitpicking posts (if there’s an error in your block, it will compound overtime when using it that way ) when you put a spacer block if it is precisely square you’re gonna be fine every time I’ve actually moved over to utilizing 3-D printed space blocks. On locking your cleat, where you don’t have another cleat above it, you’re going to have to use a mechanism that does the opposite where it inserts something below the cleat to prevent it from moving, in both scenarios you’re just trying to impede movement so if you don’t have a clean above, you need something that’s going to grab the cleat below, which could be as simple as a dowel that’s inserted

@BitnerBuilt
@BitnerBuilt 6 дней назад
I’m sure it comes down to overall design, if you make something an inch bigger diagonally, you’re gonna have to make the closure that much bigger in order to accommodate it. I sent a note asking for the same thing as well as I would like for the back panel to just be on a hinge with a latch so that I don’t have to unscrew six screws every single time I want to clean the lens, that being said it is a small thing and it is capable of doing the amount of exhaust force to get all of the smoke out. So it’s more my personal thing to get it to a 4in.

You didn't look at your big Kreg properly. The part you drill into can be removed and used separately. So for those small pieces, you can remove it, using what you need apart from the mechanism.
@BitnerBuilt
@BitnerBuilt 7 дней назад
My friend I would beg to disagree. The large Craig jig cannot be disassembled to use as a smaller piece. The black plate that you screw into can be removed to remove the dust chips behind however, if you place that against a piece of wood and I just double checked since you said it, the drillbit goes into the air. It doesn’t actually go into the piece of wood if you flip it over and then use a clamp in order to do it. It drills at a completely inappropriate angle went on website to check. It shows nowhere that can be used independently.

Make 2 beefy boards that fit between the feet and the wheels; wide enough that you can offset the wheels for a wider base of support, (you'll need more bolts). BIG difference in stability. My concrete is fairly new and 1/4" - ft slope, and sometimes I need to pull it over the expansion joint. Keep a couple shims handy for any wobble; I prefer not to lock the wheels because when being careless and leaving it setup for a while, it'll drift. I'd rather have it push off of the shims than tip over, accidents happen. Oh yeah, I've had to drain and refill the fluid once, but not a problem since. Awesome mod nonetheless, and I prefer to keep mine independent of the bench it outfeeds to. Take care.

@BitnerBuilt
@BitnerBuilt 9 дней назад
Thanks! I would say it’s a 25 to 30° slope. The bag was less than a third full. Yes, it does do a little bit better on the slope without the bagger attached, to be fair I don’t know that area even with my Luba too, which has four-wheel-drive because wallet can do it, it frequently frequently gets stuck there so I’d rather just avoid the headache. I’m reaching the end of the first full season and I really do love these guys, little bit of work here and there, but overall it’s saved me so many hours this summer of being outside doing it myself.

Suggestion: It would be great if you made a similar video directed to a more general market, such as "How to Start a Business and Make Money!" Again, just a suggestion.

Good Afternoon, Do you have employees, or do you prefer using independent contractors in your various businesses? We have a metal product where a small amount of welding is required on each unit. The welder we use provided us a per-piece cost to weld, vs. quoting us an hourly rate. This makes for a much easier and more accurate way to track this portion of the labor costs. Any suggestions or recommendations regarding independent contractors, or piece work employment? Also, just wanted to say, I've been enjoying your various videos! Thank You, Jim Dasher Ridgewood Industries Seattle metro
@BitnerBuilt
@BitnerBuilt 10 дней назад
Thanks Jim! so over all of my businesses I have had both. it really depends on the business and field. For items like what you're describing with the welder, yea that sounds like a good option. I for example with my woodworking pay a painter to finish customer projects because I know im not a good at it and if they are paying big $$ it needs to be done very well. One thing to think of is this is a great arrangement for you, there might be some pitfalls for him though which could sour things. If issues arrive on a job that required rework he is locked in on that flat fee and then might feel that it was a waste of time etc leading to him disappearing at some point. There are laws for your state you should look into on independent contractors, every states different. For example in NJ here I hire seasonal contract employees for my lighting business, they are considered "at will" and so I can legally fire them at any time for any reason and they can quit in the same way. This is an advantageous scenario especially when I hire a person who just isn't working out. Other states, this can create legal issues with terminations. As a good rule of practice I have also always video recorded any private meetings with any employee ever (nj is a one party recording state) whether its just to talk or to hire fire etc just to cover my butt in harassment and wrongful dismissal etc. That happened to my brother and it was a costly scam against him so I make sure to protect myself there. Another thing to think about with independents. If you find one thats of real quality, bring them on if your able permanently. In having hundreds (yikes) of employees over the years, real quality people can be rare and you want to hold onto them. I have an employee who's my main guy in my lighting company for the past 5 years, never misses work, always positive, respectful and friendly to customers, always works physically at 100%, always eager to take on anything I need of him. so I pay him way over rate, buy his kids presents at xmas, send him and his wife on a weekend away, give him a company cell etc anything I can do to show the love and appreciation of him working hard for me. hope some of that helps!
@jayedwin98020
@jayedwin98020 10 дней назад
@@BitnerBuilt: Thanks again! Your comments are really helpful. The welder who I mentioned earlier, has a full-time job and the work he does for us is basically a side hustle for him. One of the things that I was initially concerned about was quality control regarding his welding. Due to my initial concerns, we currently Q.C. each part, and his welding has been exemplary. He has recently started a small business and that is how we now deal with him regarding any orders. In passing, he mentioned that we were part of the impetus he needed for him to start his own business. Thanks Again, Jim
