Directed by Tony Award®️ nominee Jessica Stone (Kimberly Akimbo), with a book by three-time Tony nominee Rick Elice (Jersey Boys, Peter and the Starcatcher) adapted from Sara Gruen’s novel, and a soaring score by the acclaimed PigPen Theatre Co., WATER FOR ELEPHANTS unites innovative stagecraft with the very best of Broadway talent in an authentic and deeply moving new musical that invites us all to give ourselves to the unknown.
It was so beautiful and so touching- your voice was like silk and golden sunshine all at once! You are a goddess! My heart was moved to feel for this horse and to celebrate you, your touch, your way of healing this beautiful animal- you calm elegant ways were a beautiful piece of art. ❤❤❤
MARLENA: When was the last time you were silent? I don't mean quiet I mean you could hear yourself inside? JACOB: I don't know MARLENA: You should try, cause when I listen After all that time When I listen to me I feel wild wild wild wild wild Wild and free When I left home for the road I held my life in my hand But then I slowly lost grip And now I'm taking it back again To say what I feel And to feel what I say They have to be the same JACOB: I believe that there's something Maybe somewhere A way to be Maybe it's a person, not a place MARLENA: Say what you mean JACOB: When I first saw you When I saw you I felt wild wild wild wild wild When I lost all I had known My grief led me down the road To drown the sound of my pain In that whistling train Give myself to the unknown I could have ended it then I chose anywhere instead And then it led me to you Oh, the world was new I fell in love -- It was easy and clear But I could never say If you felt the same ... BOTH: Oh, just when I think I know the feeling Feeling you surprises me It rises up and holds me gently Mm, it's that look in your eye that moves me It draws me in to see what you're seeing I see you seeing me In this moment And you're thinking like me It can't be just this moment There's a flicker, a flame It's asking what comes after JACOB: When I'm with you MARLENA: When I'm with you You make me feel wild BOTH: Feel wild I feel wild Feel wild I see us being wild wild wild wild wild Wild and free

Saw this 4/21/24. It is the most theatrically magical theatre. So wonderfully constructed. If you can get to this show, you will not be disappointed. Go! See it! Enjoy it!
Please, please do a video like this about Easy!! I'm dying to show clips of how the puppet and the acrobatics work together in the musical theatre class I teach!
The kid has potential and the voice is legitimate. My experience for 1 performance showed tentativeness. On stage lead role requires taking command by knowing instinctively that when you step into the spot you are God and you create a whole world
My step grandmother wrote this book so I got to go to the Broadway show and meet some of the crew and see them warm up and it was amazing because the acrobats are so amazing. This song is so amazing. I love this show. Love the movie love the book and love my grandma.
