Thanks for doing a comparison video. I wanted this set - but could only find the cheaper one on a popular auction site for about £30 UK. Sure mine is the "knock-off" version as it came in a bag with the cheaper instruction manual - no box. Real Lego - you can resell with the box and worth a lot more. The cheap one - the treads don't move smoothly at all - unless I built it wrong. But the neck is the fixed version. As seen on other RU-vid videos Lego actually shipped a version with a floppy neck and sent out supplemental instructions and pieces to fix the issue! It missed their QC!! The fake version obviously copied the original bad Lego design!!
My mom bought me a Lego wall e from the internet for my birthday and when I saw the box there was no picture but when I saw this video I compared it like u did and I'm surprised that this knock off wall e was working like the real one. Thanks mom
Actual movie version of Wall-E is a rusty little robot so color issue isn't as significant. First release of Lego version had a neck issue that got a fix "recall" so perhaps they STOLE Lego's design #V1? Fun to find (almost) all the parts I own already since this Set sells for $200-$500 now on Ebay :))
sadly not only the 2008 version does. you can modify it though. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZGX4iTaicoU.html is a great video to show how
i wouldn't be even mad if i buy a KO since the lego one was so damn expensive. if i can find it cheaper and looks like Wall e, I'd be happy. also, because its more available than lego
I still think the only proper song for Lepin sets would be the Imperial March played entirely on a single dented trombone. By a drummer. Who had never heard the Imperial March before. Also they're drunk, and fist fighting the conductor. It's not that the sets are bad, and they are absolutely worth the money for the super rare ones that Lego refuses to reprint, but sometimes the quality is... questionable.
It should be added that the bricks have a very strong odor of chemicals. It seems to be very unhealthy for kids as they tend to put pieces in their mouth.
Can you help me i got the lepin emerald night i also motorized it with real Lego and the wheels are having a hard time with coupling rods. I went back and redid the wheels where one coupling rod is up and one is down. Sadly that didn’t help so should i rebuild the locomotive drive system or is there a solution? Ive already tried to look up any possible ways to fix this.. please help me!
the legs don't fit right. the hands are too thin. all the differences you point out can be rubbed off or painted on better or worse than either one on either one but how am i meant to remould the hands or make the legs fit properly? how does the head fit? does it come off easy? too easy? have the arms got the usual spin-around-ability? that sort of thing.
