Hi, my name is Katie Parker, welcome to my RU-vid channel for sharing jewellery making techniques and designs. I make jewellery in a range of different mediums which include wirework & seed beading. I also love to combine the 2 mediums together using seed beads with wire. I also use genuine gemstone in my designs which I have a passion for collecting.
I started making jewellery as a hobby 6 years ago which then gave the opportunity to start an Etsy shop. From there I discovered a passion for teaching others my newly learned skills. I appear as a Guest Designer on Jewellery Maker TV channel in the UK and also hold Workshops for a growing number of students in my local area.
Since the outbreak of Covid-19 my work has diminished and now find myself with lots of time on my hands so I'm sharing my learnt techniques and some of my designs with you here.
Gorgeous earrings, Katie! I’m going to make these for my sister-in-law’s birthday. She’ll love them! Thanks so much for sharing. You’re the best teacher on RU-vid!😊
Thank you for this tutorial, it's been very useful.. I will now check my crimp beads and crimp covers for size now! And I've never been able to use the crimp tool, but you have explained that so well, I will have another go now I know how yo use them properly! Thank you😊❤
At one side the rest of the wire comes out after a while and it scratches on the skin. What should we do. I always try to put it inside but it comes out
Hi, there shouldn’t be room for it to come out, it should only have a little give in between beads. Try cut the end of the wire so it will sit inside a bead as you’re making 😊
Your tutorials are the best I’ve found on RU-vid, so clearly explained and results are always beautiful!! I used 1mm wire and 0.4mm wire (a little different from what you used) and attached a clasp I had already available. Loved the result ❤
I couldn't make itbfrom other videos ...but from your I could do it in the first time itself and it looked as beautiful as a rose . Thanks a tonne for inspiring my creativity too.
Thanks, I have recorded a new tutorial with more information on size of crimps etc here’s the link How to Attach a Clasp - Jewellery Making - Basic Beading Skills - Make a Bracelet ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cfMyZew9cck.html
