Mark, . Mr. Kistler - I used to watch you in school weekly and it was my favorite part! "Draw Squad" was a staple of my Elementary school. Every teacher had it, all the kids loved it. You taught me how to go from stick figures, to drawing a 3D cube and shadowing it! And then entire cities. I was so proud, and some of your techniques still help me to this day :). Thank you for all the lessons and good memories. I'd hug ya if I could.

dude! mark! holy hell. you may already know you inspired a ton of kids but I started drawing when i was 2, and your show is where i learned.. obsessively. i think its because of you that i got told i had a gift and you sharpened my skills. to this day i can draw anything!
Mark changed my life as far as being able to draw. So basic, so imaginative, I used to be a pretty ( I’m sure I have some form) autistic drawer. I’ve made some pretty amazing art back in the day. When he came to my school in Conroe, TX back in the 90’s I knew that’s what I wanted to do. Unfortunately I’m not an artist, but am an artist in almost everything I do. But I’d like to think he helped trigger my drive. That one day you spent at my school I will never forget tho. I was zoned in. I think you were doing the long neck out of the egg, but I always love how you say… you can add shading here if you want… trial and error… hands down… best motivational artist ever
What a small world! I'm currently editing a video and in it I made a comment about "training under the tutelage of Mark Kistler" and as I'm looking for a clip of your Imagination Station, which I grew up watching, I find this video.. I just personally want to thank you for inspiring me as a kid to draw. My mom saw that inspiration and encouraged me by getting art supplies and cheering me on. I still have art books with dinosaurs and spacemen that I drew having learned how to from you. So once again, thank you for being a pivotal part of my artistic journey.
