An old tired Australian playing Total War Warhammer 2 and drinking more coffee than should be humanly possible, subject to Whimsy, Hyperbole and brief moments of sanity Schedule: 30 minute video released every day i remember to
Australia, the world's green cauldron for your testicles 😂 Ty for some Skrolk gameplay. One of my faves. No two campaigns ever go the same way lol. The true total warhammer experience.
probably a lot of fighting, depending on my caravans i may have been getting a lot from them as well. there is also a few technologies that reduce the losses of labourers as well. if i remember correctly at least
lol, honestly its mostly because i keep forgetting about them, gotta try and remember them next time. but yeah Chorfs dont really need the help, they wreck pretty hard
@@ashenninja4296 really long campaign you got there. I’m making it a goal this upcoming year to complete as many campaigns as I can to get the achievements. Right now I’m turn 40 chorf short victory already done.
nice work, good luck on the goal, hopefully you can get a lot of them done, my goal this year is to add lore videos to my channel, just gotta stop being lazy
hey. i feel like the volume of the game is a little bit high in comparison with your voice. Since this was recorded a month ago maybe you already fixed.
@@dmitrybrooklyn it may have been because that was still in an early build, i just loaded the game that i used for the guide, which was over a year ago, and the battles didnt have the balance bar anymore, so that is the only reason i can think of for it to have had the balance bar at the time
Found this as I picked it up accidently and missed all the drop it opportunities as I didnt know they were limited. I got it by mistake when a holier than thou pointy ear came over to the dark elf lands. I've been playing total wars since the first Shogun came out, but have never had the sword before in totalwarhammer.. Playing on hard, Lokhir got it. After realising i had to kill him off to drop it (I own the Shrine so thought I could pick up with Mal or maybe leave it there), I removed all his troop and sent him around ulthuan.. I'd just launched my invasion of the far north anyway. He conquered the whole bloody island on his own.... Not even one soldier with him. Just him n his dragon. Admittedly the main elf army was in Naggarond, but they had several others floating about the unlucky horseshoe island. Once I realised how OP he was, I just sacked the hell out of everything went public order mad and built everywhere. Then spent spent spent on slavery in a couple of choice locations and now have an army for every 3 regions, or a black ark nearby with te funds to create one temporarily. This means that the few places im not able to build away the disorder, are covered by fire sorceresses with full combined arms mid game armies (I was a bit worried id run out of money, so didnt late game tier build for these covering forces, but to be honest, I needn't have worried), with the odd uber unit thrown in for line holding. Basically, I got it by mistake, panicked when the disorder started rolling in, had to deal with it. The money and slaves generated were obscene and I now own all of the dark elf lands, and chaos tundra on the eastern side, with the great maw on the west too, lustria, ulthuan and a significant invasion force heading into Bretonia, with mousillon in my hands already. I have all of the leg lords, and at least 8 other armies, thats aside form the black arks, which id probably at 6 or 7 thanks to the confed options and being hot as hell on the ark rite. Im pulling aboutr 20k gold a turn depending on how many armies im fielding at the time, and have over a hundred k in the bank, so can spit out further armies almost anywhere I like with those black arks, at will. As the chaos invasion started, I stopped them dead with 4 armies I produced in two turns from black arks in Naggarond. The game turned into a steam roll of everyone i didnt like the look of and a global slave gathering excersise. The panic and disorder just turned into a ridiculous amount of slaves and a supercharged economy... If anything, it made the game a little boring as the challenge evaporated. Im now thinking of mounting a 4 black ark and all leg lord expedition towards kislev to find Archeon. Or, I might just steam roll through bretonia and the empire and see if he comes to me. Whilst doing that, i'll send someone down to finish off the goody two shoes Knight expedition from caledor.. U know, just to make sure im the uncontested phoenix king. Although the Greenies dont have the slavery option, (Im not that familiar, only played the shaman dude once) If u can mitigate the disorder, or leverage the severe OPness of the sword for sacking enough to super charge your economy early on, then the disorder just gives u more cash. So, in my opinion, its a no brainer with the Dark elves at least.... Use it, love it, and murder the dissenters.
I scuppered an entire vortex campaign with these two because of their final battle. Seeing this video does my heart good. Yes, please give me Beastmen: give me anything, in fact, but the Skaven and that fat bastard Throt. Whoever decided that the hit-and-run specialists needed to defend a tiny hill from a faction that is _the_ last word in human wave tactics should be sacrificed to Khorne.
if you mean warriors of chaos, i like it, gives them a very growing with you feel. except for nurgle, WoC nurgle is a bit underpowered. if you mean WH3 in general, i'm still on the fence on it. with Chaos dwarves around the corner it may make me jump to either side
Why does public order keep going down in hexoatl? It does it for you as well as me. I can't figure out why that happens at the start for a capital starting city.
@@natesofamerica normal is -2, with the temporary ones still the same, there of course could be other factors like being raided, corruption, enemy heroes
@@ashenninja4296 That makes sense then, but I'm baffled by just how hard the lizard campaign is compared to all the others. Even on normal mode. This game cheats like crazy though, enemies have unlimited resources which isn't a fair game.
got the game like 2 weeks ago , been trying out ikit claw the last two days and i gotta say , thanks for continuing the campaing from that tutorial you made ! its not only very informative , but its also damn entertaining ! also its nice to see people winning battles and stuff like that, i only get my ass kicked lmao
At turn 1 i prefer going all the way to iron rock on turn 1 then recruiting 3 orc boyz and a black orc big boss, then you get a settlement turn 1 which i think is so much better
Yo ashen, so while I was playing skarbrand turns out you don't need to capture a providences capital to convert razed settlements. Capturing any of the settlements in a providence will convert razed ones over time
@@ashenninja4296 100 percent correct, how often did find yourself disbanding your summoned armies? Skarbrand I feel can be a bit expensive up to the first bear roar.
@@armadagedon i have found i get them killed because of loss of the commander of the summoned army before i general need to disband them, i need to get much better at using them on the battlefield i think. Saying that they are a huge hit on the economy though so you really need to keep fighting to sustain it all
nope you can still just cross, with Skarbrand faction you really should only occupy the capital settlement in each province anyway since your faction mechanics means eventually you're auto-occupy the razed settlements
@@ashenninja4296 I knew about wanting to mostly raze settlements but found with that bridge one, I couldn’t cross it once razed. I still had to waste lots of turns every time I wanted to cross the river
Alternatively. Plant a camp in Dwarf territory, recruit 5 Lords and set them to Raiding for massive growth, meanwhile repeatedly sack the dwarven settlement to train your Lords up to get the +growth skills.
only real issue i see on that is that with those lords you will eternally be paying their supply lines unless you later get them killed. Or until the bug with supply lines and lords is fixed, if it is indeed a bug. I get the feeling it is a working as intended to stop people from recruiting and disbanding lords for global buffs
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD HHELP ME ASHEN PLEASE when you research the "sounds of war" army ability, the ability to summon demons from a portal on the battle field during combat. how do i add that ability to my army. eveyr time i unlock it i see no way to make it so skarbarands army has the ability to use. im always stuc kwith the "horn of khorne" ability is it a gltich. can skarbrand not have it. im playing on legendary difficulty, do they remove this ability cuz of that. the game has no real instruction manual and its really fucking irritating
So that research should just add an extra summon to the summoned from beyond ability your armies get from giving skulls top the skulls throne, so instead of it giving you 2 summons it should be three. If you arent within the 10 turns of having given skulls to khorne it wont come up. Its not its own ability as such, just an addition to that ability. if the summon ability isnt coming up at all when you have the skull throne ability going then its a glitch
@@ashenninja4296 OOOOOOOOOh i figured it out now thanks for the help. this campaing is super different from the other ones. do you find yourself in constand debt jsut fighting as much as possible to sustain your income?
@@mochabear8312 oh yes, very different from other campaigns, spend one turn without any fights and its game over for having money, must keep fighting or its bust
throgg has a huge advantage over other hordes i realized cuz he can hold cities. i been playing with kholek suneater like "you lucky basterd" hehe. oh nvm i guess hes not a horde. either way i need to do a throgg camp someday soon
I really want to love Ikit and Skaven, but struggling a lot. Only have won with High Elves Alith Anar and Dark Elves Lokhir, so kinda new. This helps a lot, thanks mate!
@@ashenninja4296 do u do any co op campaigns with your viewers obviously wh3 is out soon but more tips from people the better. I've currently gone from normal difficulty to hard. And want to master hard now and beginning of wh3 so soon I can go to very hard :)
@@oliverterry5941 i dont do co-ops with viewers at the moment, but its a timing issue on my end more than anything since i have a full time job, it is something that i may look at in the future, lots of things changing for me this year so i am hoping to have more time for making videos and streaming. Its good you're pushing forward into the higher difficulties, as long as you're enjoying it. My philosophy is make sure you're enjoying yourself, it is the primary intent after all
The Strigoi needs to be mobbed by infantry - it has high melee attack and AP damage plus regeneration and Invocation Nehek (more than Repanse or Henry) and will mess up your Lords - keep the corpse cart away from it with cavalry. Pin it down with spears/pikes and beat on it with greatsword Foot Squires while archers shoot it. The first fight can be tough if you don't know what the enemy can do - I see so many guides that have Repance and Henry badly mauled because of this.
I'd like to think beastmen changes were a god send. Thank god I started playing after Taurox was released with its changes cuz pre change sounds god awful
@@ashenninja4296do you advice khazrak players to upgrade his red line for his troops or buff his personal combat stats in the skill tree. Bestigorz are mediocre cuz of their defense stats
@@torpidjourneymaker3692 i would do his personal combat stats last, i would look at red line for troops you want him to habe, and his special yellow lines first
