Excellent executions of superb ideas! I think I hear very strong Chris Potter's influence in Gael's approach to blowing his tenor. Never saw anybody who can emulate Chris' full blowing style as good as he does here. My apologies to Gael if I am hearing it wrong.
I started sax (after failing at guitar and piano) 30 years ago. So about 3 years ago now I found this guy playing the solo to "Street life" on RU-vid. Wow....is he really that good, as it turns out Jamie Anderson really is and his Get your sax together channel has helped me to correct a terrible embouchure and such and thirty years in and I'm more excited than ever and having a blast. You sound pretty well together man and I really hope thst in thirty years from now you still love music.... Have a great day and don't forget to be awesome.
Thanks for the upload! Do you know the exact year when this was recorded? It seems to me that this could be about a decade ago. BTW, if I remember correctly Timeline is actually a Metheny composition
Have you checked out beat music/now vs. now/mehliana? He’s got a really unique feel/concept that separates him from many others. Nate wood is in a similar vein but mark has a different touch. Mark is one of the best ever.
