The church you said was Greek Orthodox is actually a Catholic Church called The Magnificent Church of Saint Nicholas, shown in your video a few times, and at 17:33 :-) it's beautiful. There are a few Catholic churches on Syros because of the venetian influence through history. Many Catholic churches all over the rest of greece too.
Some nice video footage of the two main towns, but for me you missed the best parts of the island which are the villages around the island. I spend around 4/5 months there each summer but very rarely visit the touristy two main towns unless I have to.
Excellent videos, especially in the technical part. Very well recorded. Very good production, colors, no highlights, although Greece is very bright. With which camera was it filmed, if it's not a secret.
A WARNING TO ANYONE GOING TO IOS : Under the surface of IOS is a very sinister war ....the war to take over the drug scene is raging as Romanians flood the area with their own drugs only to find others not so willing to let go of their lucrative business . The two IRISH lads who died within an hour of each other had taken drugs that were dangerous and that were distributed by Romanians ....this was done as a warning to those involved in tourism on the island....if the Romanians did not get their way then they would keep distributing these bad drugs until the locals let them take over the drug industry there . Although it has not been confirmed by the police on the island all the locals are talking about it and worried what it is doing to islands reputation . Shame as it WAS a nice place .
Lovely video and fantastic drone work! Thank you Jose. Syros is for me one of the greatest hidden gems in the Mediterranean. Seriously, what other "urban sprawl" in Europe looks anything like this? It is for me easily the most picturesque larger-scaled city in all of Europe. How this is still so unknown is beyond me! Let's keep it that way ;)
Yes, as soon as I got to Ermoupoli, I fell in love with it......and yes I was surprised not to find that many tourists, I would think a place that looks this beautiful would have been loaded with tourists like Santorini......I really felt at home there.... : )
Hello Jose, this looks like Villefranche sur Mer! Fun fact: the film Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (a 1988 comedic masterpiece if you've not seen it) was shot here in many scenes. Highly recommended viewing!! My apologies for not replying in a timely matter, I'll be perfectly honest, I struggled with the autofocus features a lot, so I only used manual focus in all these shots and still do.....the GH5 in my opinion has a lag in the autofocus, it bothers me and I don't use it with auto focus......ever....
there is a firmware update coming at the end of this month that supposedly gets rid of the micro jitters that occur when you do "panning"( you probably noticed) with the GH5, I have my fingers crossed : ) otherwise, it is a Beast....!!!
all you do s, on the track you loaded the Effectrix, record the midi....as simple as that...for the parts of the song that you want...either live with a Midi keyboard or write it in , in the midi editor or piano roll view...
Dude playing it live is cool but how do you paste the effect into the arrange window so you can apply it to only a part of the track rather than the effect just looping?
