I picked pile 3 I've received complains about me being slow at bussing the tables but I came in second last night. I didn't even realize I clocked out before shift is over. I do move fast though, but the job can get overwhelming (I have to attend to 30 - 50 guests per event). The only reason why I seemed slow at times is because I have the tendency to help others (and the supervisors don't seem to notice that). Yes, I notice my manager's quite generous in giving me slots. The events has been drying up lately but she's scheduled me to work about 85% of it (some of my colleagues only get one or two slots per month) I chock it up to them facing a shortage of part-timers and she has to settle for me (I get lots of complains!!! from the other supervisor anyway - most of the guests love me, and somehow I still appear more than some others) I am compliant to her requests (well, she does ask nicely, and her requests are reasonable) I just nod or say yes and rush to complete whatever tasks she assigns. Whereas others would put up a resistance (it's the work culture over here) I mean why do that since she decides how many slots you get = how much cash you'll be earning. She did offer me a full time position but I didn't accept it, maybe that's why she's not happy? I work an administrative role at my full time job so I'm fully capable of working as her assistant but unfortunately the pay is not competitive esp for the workload. Thank you for this reading :)
Picked pile 1 I'm torn between a home marriage family kids life, and a digital nomad travel life. I picked abusive partners in the past, so I don't dare to think about marriage (although I want to) until I'm strong on my own. So you're right, I'm currently working on my finances and self-love. Pile 2.really resonates. Every word. I'm the first person to fill this position after 40 plus applications. Before that he did it all by himself and he hated it. He doesn't want to find a new employee. But he can't pay me more. I won't stay because I need more pay. Yes he's saying stupid things to make me stay. I did suggest he find someone new so that I can train them before I leave because I don't want to get his calls after I resigned lol. He will have to because I established his office system he won't know what where how (and I did it selfishly initially to secure my position - guess I got myself trapped lol) thanks it confirms some of my suspicion of his thoughts.
I chose pile 2 because it reminds me of his child-at-heart personality. He was supportive of me, always allowing me to apply for promotions, even if outside of our department. But he never, ever looked after me. When I had to speak up for the team twice, he never spoke up to defend me. But then again, no one has my back except for my family. Now, it feels like he's avoiding me further from having any personal bond. I still hold grudge for not thanking me for my birthday message but thanked my friend who greeted him too. I'm not going to attempt to be friendly to him anymore.
