Cracking sound could be an injector? I cleaned it out because it was running rough and had high emissions. Always worth doing as the egr causes severe carbon build up.
@@Street_Fitter it could be but I don't have a clue. All I can say is that comes from the side of the belt. It is very much related to the quality of the fuel ( expensive fuel makes the rattle sound less) and at certain speed on the road or rpm will reduce it a lot.
Hello, I would like to ask you something why the roof can stick to the opening and need help by hand while there is oil in the container, does it need better lubrication at the opening points?
@@eddyn7318 check the chip is still in the key fob or you would have to program the ECU to disable the immobiliser or replace the ecu with chip and reader
Just make sure you don't fit a cheap one. I did originally and it ended up leaking oil through the casing. In the end I ordered a Pierburg one from autodoc for around £50. Been fine ever since.
Happy to help! I couldn't find a video when I needed to manually close the roof I just had the pdf instructions and it's a bit confusing to be fair so I thought it would be a good idea to make a video on doing it.
Just mute it mate I just think it's better putting some tunes on a video rather than leaving it quiet and I'm not gonna talk through it when I'm working away it's too much trying to talk about it at the same time as fixing it.
It's much easier to change the hoses with the roof cover open. It makes it easier to remove the circlip from the hose before pulling it out. Filling the hydraulic oil reservoir is made easier by jacking up the right rear of the car, with the car sitting on a downward slope. This means you can top up to the level without it going everywhere.
Surprisingly I have a 2013 passat tdi and this looks similar to my engine bay I have to change mine as well with the new one you installed what is the location of that sensor ?
What problem were u trying to resolve on this. My gear lever has gone lose and failing to select gears. Would I then need to replace the same piece you removed here? Thanks
@@Street_Fitter Okay, thank you very much. I was not sure if the CDTI needs the C class Oil because of the Euro 4 emissions class. I did know that the DTI dose not need it. And the liqui moly Oil finder dose give the c class oil also as an option with the CDTI, but not with the DTI. Best regards Norbert

Hi, you done this so quick i couldn't see.....does the window switch need to be taken out first? What's the best way of taking it out? My drivers window isnt operating from the door switch, but i know the window works as it still comes down with the main all window switch. I was thinking of checking the door switch first. thank you
Hi you can just wedge it out with a plastic trim tool or screwdriver. Can probably see better on this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UzuipZbFHg0.html
