Thanks to S & G for writing and recording this classic over 50 years ago, allowing Disturbed, Pentatonix and others to re-interpret the meaning.......a warning against an increasingly detached, unfeeling, cold society.......maybe more relevant today than in the 1960's......props to the cinematographer for the stunning visuals........
OMGOSH My new friend, where does 1 begin. TOOL will challenge the mind w/their BRILLIANT n complex structuring of songs. Starting w/the soul stirring nature of conscious awakening in the lyrics, all the way to using mathematical time signatures using the Fibonacci sequence (the golden math ratio found in nature) ALL IN THE SONGS syllables, the sentences as well as the exact time b4 the intro thru the altro ........(that being their song LATERALUS do WAIT doing that song plz?! U need rock n roll experience I think to fully appreciate it?!)..U actually FEEL the experiences cerebrally cuz of the math inside the music. Sum ppl wont "get it." And thats ok. Their vibration (their energy) or consciousness just hasnt been elevated yet to FEEL it. Maybe in a couple more lifetimes? But TOOL may take them there sooner?! THIS band does it ALL! Word of warning tho......TOOL (shud u choose to except the challenge..lol) they may spoil u in music to where u compare everyone else to them. And of course no one can! I was going to subscribe to your channel until I heard you say and I quote he got those moves from James brown. Before making a comment on RU-vid you really need to do your research. James Brown and Elvis were very close friends and James Brown wasn’t even allowed to perform in public until Elvis broke the racial barrier, and allowed blacks through his music to perform, and finally get their own recognition James Brown also did a tribute song to Elvis Presley . Elvis obtained some of his moves by going to a black Baptist Church in a ghetto, where he lived as a child. Elvis was dirt, poor, and as much as I love, James, brown, and believe me I do he did not get his moves from him. Also, you should need to know that when James Brown was in prison for tax evasion, and owed, almost $1 million to the government of the United States, and was threatened with a massive amount of jail time Elvis paid James Browns taxes which enabled James Brown not to go to jail and to continue his career so before making a statement I highly suggest you hold off on making the statement until you do your research that really enraged me and I don’t often get pissed off so I’ll hold off on subscribing and perhaps you can research before you say something. God bless you young man and I hope you have a wonderful life. It’s important, especially being on RU-vid with so many Elvis fans watching to really just research before making a statement like that.
