Regarding "FYou gate"; either put a name with it or don't bring it up! Tom Kim blew it in my opinion. Without context, it means nothing. Thanks for the recaps every day. Great show.
Brentley Romine of Golf Channel reported in a now deleted tweet Ben An named Wyndham Clark as the one that said fu. I think there were a lot of hurt ego on TEAM USA that internationals forced Sundays singles and they complained to the officials that forced Tom Kim to get rid of the tweets.
Kiz going full Tarp off and another top notch weekend of on course commentary from Smylie. I vote for a FULL Sunday in the kayak on 17 TPC with Kiz sitting up in the grandstands like he’s Lazer from American Gladiators shooting tennis balls at said kayak. Or vice versa. Thanks for all you boys are doing out there. Great stuff.
Who came up with the term "poor man's Pebble Beach" to describe PG? Was he drunk and on a golf course and could see the ocean and paid a lot less money, which all equaled a poor a man's Pebble Beach in his hammered mind? I mean they're nothing alike and PG isn't remotely close. Other than the views on the back 9 and a little Scottish look to it, there is nothing else special about PG. And in spite of it being a relatively shorter course, it's a 4½ to 5 hour round cuz of all the tourist hacks with no etiquette.
11-7 doesnt tell the story. USA should be EMBRASSED. Sunday Singles will matter. USA should be lucky they are up 11-7. International made it closer than the score actually shows. USA is full of divas. Apprentaly Tom Kim was pissed that some of them were cursing. There is desperation that USA must win cause of LIV. I know in 22 they took it 17.5-12.5. Lets see how bad the ass whooping is.
if tom is going to be loud and celebrate like he does, which isn't a bad thing, he needs to understand that fans from the other team and some players aren't going to like it. honestly think if he would of won today we wouldn't be hearing anything from him regarding this. GEAUX TIGERS!
Ranking Canadian NHL fan bases by rowdiness is tough bc it is subjective and can vary depending on how the team is performing. All have passionate fan bases. 1)Montreal- deep history and loud passionate fans 2) Winnipeg- small market but incredibly vocal. Awesome “whiteouts” during playoffs 3) Toronto- huge following, more corporate, intense during playoffs or rival games 4) Edmonton- Rogers Place was crazy during the Finals this year 5) Calgary- known for “C of Red” playoff tradition, with wild crowds 6) Vancouver- great fans, show up in playoffs 7)Ottawa- quieter fan base but energetic when team is good
I'm a Canadian but Mike Weir is as bad a captain pick as Zack Johnson. It's his turn. He's classy. Host country...and nobody gives a shit. Canadian hockey fans get after it. There's no rivalry here. I dont know who the Keegan can be, but this is not the way.
Very disappointed in Weirs groupings, honestly! Hughes should have played today and Tom Kim should be playing tomorrow! Sungjae looked lost to me coming today so he should sit. And yes, Nick Taylor should be on the team! As for hockey fandom, the Montreal Canadiens are certainly the most intense fan base so it's surprising that the crowds were lame. I do think it comes down to the 4 day format - it's a snoozefest! Toronto probably has the 2nd most intense fanbase, followed by both Alberta teams. The Jets and Canucks are quite intense when they make the playoffs as well! And the Blue Jays ⚾ are one of the most raucous fandoms in the MLB!
I think this is the internationals best chance to win. Last i heard Mike Weir has suggested that this course be set up for Accuracy of the tee to land the ball in the fairway.
Your talk about minwoobeing like Hirschel etc and Jim didn't take a risk ... Min woo was 8th on the points list . He almost made it automatically .. it would hav been a huge statement to NOT pick him
I'm the biggest min woo fan . Followed him on tv/online every round he's played professionally in the last 3 years . His only current weakness is his distance control with his wedges and his ability to miss 1 or 2 3-5 footers per round . He has become an accurate enough driver (particularly given his length ) , his short game is elite and he can putt well enough often enough that he should be Locked in the top 20 owgr. 2023 was a big year and entering in the season he was in the 30's world ranking due to a win and a runner up back here in Australia . Unfortunately he couldn't have that one good week which moved him in the top 30 to be eligible for the signature events . I personally think he's still fairly immature and that is apparent with the need for conversation over every shot with his caddy . You won't have an example of any other caddy who basically tells his player what shots to hit. Anyways .. I'm really hoping he can have a good week . He is made for this format .. he has always thrived on being in the spotlight (huge pressure on him to perform in Australia last summer and he did etc) . The course setup works well for him to tee off on the evens with the two par 5's and drivable par four and thus avoiding the four par 3's which are probably his weakness . Anyways I love your commentary on golf .. best in the business and just found your podcast which I love . Cheers
I love watching the Rolex Series tournaments on the DPWT. The presentation, TV graphics and everything about it feel way more elevated than a normal tournament. When I watch the signature events on the PGA Tour it just feels like any other tournament with a better field. They have to do more similar to The Players Championship
Rice, Fitzgerald and Moss are better, he's the most gifted WR of all time that's for sure. He has everything you want in a WR, he has speed, size, hands. But for me Rice and Fitzgerald are the very best at WR, but Moss and Megatron are just behind them with their physical gifts.
ask him how it was smashing russells wife after practice lololol i was at the club the sa,me day tate was at the club n he was like i effed the f out that bitt
Him and Larry are #1 and #2 at their position in their era. Larry would've had even better stats with Stafford most of his career, but respect Megatron for his talent.
LFG Smylie - Giving the fans what they want. Golden Tate - perfect guest. Patton is such a vibe too - remember watching with at sony like 6 years ago. Hope he sticks in form
I know Smylie played on the tour and is friends with these guys but he has to understand the amount of fomo us viewers all have when listening to this kind of stuff haha i would kill to play golf with those gentlemen! Really good content as always guys!
