I totally agree, Mark. My choir started on it tonight and I cannot wait to play your exquisite arrangement! This has to be one of, if not, my favorite choral arrangement by you! This choir did a beautiful job with it!
Listen, I'm from South Africa and a few years back every morning on my way to work, a group of Xhosa ladies would board the train and start singing the paint of the walls. South African women can blow like volcanoes. You will find some of the greatest talents on this planet in the poorest South African towns. Come to our farming town, the Cape Flats, the Townships, our people sang. Full chest, flat-footed, power.
we sang this for District Honor Choir in the middle school section and everyone clapped and cheered once we were finished! this song has been stuck in my head since...absolutely in love with it!
This brought tears to my eyes. Everyone sounded so wonderful and it reminded me of when I was singing this song at a vocal festival. Thank you for making this video!
