Just drove this for the first time for the weekend. I loved it. But it definitely feels bigger but not as much storage as it could have with all that space. And compared to the cx9, when you take turns it does feel a little wobbly but it's not a deal breaker. I'm still looking at buying the cx9 since repairs on this vehicle will most likely be very expensive due to the fact that the timing chain was placed in back of engine and will require the engine to be lifted for many major repairs. But i do love that HUD, by far one of my favorite features along with wireless Android Auto.
It is really nice, but I wouldn't put a lot of weight into having to replace the timing chain. Mazda has really good engines and most failures happen before the warranty is up.
Dude, drive with both hands. Especially when you are showing us how the vehicle handled demanding turns. I guess okay since you went through most of them with two fingers in the wheel. Totally inappropriate and irresponsible.
It holds up much better than I expected. Positively surprised. But I gotta say panel gaps on my old 2007 bimmer still looked almost perfect a year ago even though it had some bodywork done in the front back in 2009.
I am not really finding any reviews on how much storage there is with the seats down. A lot of people use vans for hauling sports gear and sleeping in on occasion. (think surfboards, kayaks bikes) So not all van users are interested in how many children and sticky toys you can haul around. Same goes for minivans. How about having sex in it? To all those people commenting that 260 miles is not enough, it is much larger and less aero dynamic than most electric cars. If it charges to 80 percent in a half an hour you could charge it for lunch and drive for four hours in the morning at 65. I think those people have never really owned an electric car. We are all going to die from global warming so just maybe a slight inconvenience might be worth the trouble ehh? My electric cars are charged 100% off my roof top solar when in town.
Yes, 260 miles is plenty. I always try to explain it as, 260 miles is just over 4hrs of driving. I don't know many people that can drive for 4hrs without having to stop for a bathroom break. I'm lucky to push 2 1/2 hrs before needing the bathroom. In that 15 min bathroom and snack break, you can add another 70-100 miles....
55k plus tax, license, fees, around 61k plus and financial program, all around 67k for 4 cylinders for a 4 cylinder midsized truck, think it is too much don't you think?
I do feel it is a little expensive, but it all depends on who you are. Some might say, if I'm going to spend that much, I'll get a full size truck. Others will pay it because they don't want a full size truck...
Do you mean the trip? Not necessarily, mpgs are a programmed calculation. Some may round up, some might round down. Like 25.5 miles could be 25 or 26 depending on their calculations
I have cx-5 turbo , and I get around 20mpg in city with traffic, around 26-27mpg on highway with 75miles/h or 28-29 with 65-70miles/h. I think EPA rating is quite fair. Not the best economy but I like the car.
funny you should say that "not that you care" lol my friend againts EVERYONES ADVICE got a last call challenger scat pack.....hese owned it for 6 months and now he wants to get rid of it....why? he cant afford it....payments too high....gas is too expensive and insurance is insaine......
You guys are adorable. Production values need work (audio gain a little high?) but so great to see regular people reviewing a vehicle I’m sure Ford hope will be bought by regular people.
Would you recommend me buying a used 2021 model y long range with acceleration boost, 20inch rims and tow hitch. Its selling price is 30,933. But it has 60,700 miles . I’m stuck and don’t know what to do. Anything helps thanks 😊
In my area, Private sell price would be around $32K, a dealership would price probably around $34-35K so I would say it's a pretty decent deal and the Supercharging network is the most reliable for charging right now.
I don't have a lot of experience with Teslas. As for the ID.4, The newest version of the ID.4 is what you want. Upgraded, more powerful, more efficient rear drive motor and new, improved software. I would say ID.4, I would definitely buy this newest one. 2021 and 2022 models are troublesome.
I was looking to see if running the combustion engine for 40 minutes or so would also recharge the battery. It looked like it only added a few percent, probably from just braking. So, correct me if I'm wrong, you still have to plug it in and add $5 of electricity to get the battery back. At $3.50 a gallon, you take add 1.4 gallons to the pump total (dollar for dollar) and it comes out to about 27 mpg. If the combustion engine recharged the batteries, it might make it closer to worth the $10k price bump. I like the idea but am not sold. Sorry Dodge.
@@offtheshelfrides I would think there would be a huge difference between SOCAL weather and midwest freeze in the winter--and how many hours you might be driving in the snow. Same with the Mojave Desert, say four hours with the AC on.
Yes, it depends on how you look at it. If it's 30° out and you start up and go, your going to lose 20% range while it heats up the battery and cabin. But once the battery is warm, running the heat or A/C will cause only about a 5% loss in range.
It's very common that the car's calculation is 1 or 2 above real. If you add a bed cover, you should get 2 more and even another 2 more in eco mode, achieving 42.
I cannot believe they have such horrible HORRIBLE software, and such a tiny little itty bitty screen. I mean jesus, catch up Volvo, wth are you doing???
The Google based Android Automotive is actually really easy to use, especially if you have an Android phone. I do agree about the screen. They need to go up a couple more inches.
Great review. I have had my eyes on these for some time. Was waiting for the AWD version and to make sure all the kinks were solved. Outside of the latest recall, seems all is good. From a quick inventory search, there is an oversupply of these depending on location. May be perfect time for a good deal. Thx!
I’m not surprised Toyota understated the mpg on the sticker. My Sienna sticker showing 36mpg but i’m consistently getting 39-40 mpg with AC blasting under the TX heat. I wish every car manufacturer would learn this from Toyota
Does the display still have the option to split what you see? I like to have the map up on one side my phone/music on the other. I currently have an RX450H.
Is the AWD any good on the Maverick? I live on the east coast so we do get snow but if the AWD isn’t great I’d rather save the money and get the FWD version
I haven't driven the AWD yet. This Hybrid only comes with FWD. If you want AWD, you have to go to the 2.0L turbo engine and drop to around mid 20s MPG. Most AWD systems work well, most of the time it's the weight of the Vehicle that determines how well it manages snow.
