When I was a kid my favorite shows were shows like This Old House, Monster Garage, Monster House, Computer Chronicles and Beyond Tomorrow. Since then I grew up and became a professional electrical engineer, DIY weekend warrior and an audio / video hobbyist.
Now for some reason every time I start any kind of project it seems to spiral out of control with interesting, sometimes futuristic, but totally unnecessary ideas I could only categorize as "overkill" for the task at hand. I find I have a strange urge to try and film these parts of my life that seem like episodes of Home Improvement on steroids.
Occupation Overkill is my attempt to create videos capturing these adventures and publish them here on RU-vid in the hopes that maybe I might get lucky and make some fat stacks so I can focus on these delusions of grandeur full time.
The thing that would make me get this is if it had a dock like a roomba and a button on my phone to come to me and the ability to climb stairs even if without a person only
I'm curious about the lack of paint on the walls of that garage....I mean, you spent all that money on all that storage and it looks awful without the wall painted😢 You could easily do a coat of plain white or gray.😅
Looks great. This video most closely resembles what I want to do with my garage. I definitely want the folding tables with heavy duty brackets, to save me some space. Great job!

I would like to make some folding workbenches to so I can fit 2 cars in but are they strong enough to put a vice one and hit stuff with a hammer? or Would it break
Awesome setup. Any weight distribution issue with the folding workbench that’s on right? Since the support legs isn’t centered with the workbench top? I assume they’re bolted on the studs so just curious
Yes, I promise the next video will be a Loomo update. I am working on 2 Loomo videos actually: 1. A full review video and 2. my project to add a gimbal and AI to turn it into a robot "camera man" Which one would you like to see first?
I wonder why some one would go thru all the work at drywalling and taping the walls and not paint them. It looks so cheap and tacky. For gods sake. paint the walls before you go any further with your project.
Was thinking of getting one of these as well... how do you like it now that it's been over a year since you posted this great video? I have a Temi and really like the Alexa integration, but it's not rideable. Was thinking of using this for a security patrol with AWS Rekognition and DeepLens. Have they stopped development of any updates on the Loomo?
