Best build I’ve ever seen. We are looking for this type of layout and attention to details. What’s a rough estimation of cost to have one built with a very similar layout, same style van, and all the upgrades????
Смотрю различные автодома на протяжении нескольких лет. И, честно признаюсь, ваш дом самый лучший по дизайну, конфигурации и функциональности. Рада, что нашла ваше видео. Браво!👏👏👏
Excellent video. I'm considering using this stuff in my house and your video is honest and real. Thanks for your great work. Van looks super cool by the way
Thanks so much! Glad it was helpful. Most of our concerns won't be relevant for a house, so in my opinion it's a great option for that! We are trying another product now too called Concretta FS from Meoded. Might be worth looking into as well, much easier application process.
The determining factor is if you're putting it over an absorbant surface (like wood), or a non absorbant surface (like tile, metal, etc). We use absorbant surface for most of the van
Hey great video! I was wondering how you found it eventually. I need a similar set-up for my 2012 VW Crafter. The chance is quite large that it is the same, but how do I know for sure? Thanks!
I'm not sure exactly where I found it in the end (maybe a blog post?), but the way to check would be to use a multimeter on the post, and see when it gets power. It should only recieve power after the engine has turned on, and not when on the switch is on. Hopefully that helps!
You sold me, I'm so wanting to build an almost identical build as yours with some slight modifications but would it cool if I can completely copy your build ?
I’m no expert on van build outs, but I really appreciate your attention to detail everywhere. So beautiful - especially Nicole’s artwork. People rarely invest the time it took both of you to create all the details in combination with function that are in this van. Next to Nicole’s artwork, my favorite thing is the rattan inserts in the upper cabinets for light to show thru. Genius!
Wow, thank you! Appreciate this comment more than you can imagine, we really pride ourselves on the attention to details and it's something you can usually only feel when you're physically in the van. So thanks for noticing :)
@@nicoleandedden my husband and I built our log home together (by ourselves) about 30 years ago so I know what it takes and how it can make or break a relationship. Glad that, like us, it made yours better and stronger. Enjoy your youth together.
You've perfected the layout! I'm building one and I may have to change my layout because of you! Wish there was a floorplan somewhere of how you have it all laid out, but I also noticed you're now building them so probably not best to give away too many secrets! I enjoyed the free tracking template for budgeting from your site though!
Hahah appreciate that a lot! And happy the template was helpful :) Yeah we don't sell any plans but we do consulting for anyone that wants one-on-one help! :)
This is the most beautiful van that I have ever seen. It is literally my dream come to life. It is simply stunning! You are so talented, beautiful, and blessed! It’s my retirement dream.
This is amazing. The 1% rule I totally respect because so much of living in a van full time is a mental thing and getting that mental space. What do you do with surfboards?
Agree 100%! Surfboards aren't ideal in this layout, you would either strap it to the roof (on the walkable solar), or get a side rack and ladder to mount it onto.
Yes I was thinking of some kind of side compartment for a long board. Would stick out about 4 inches for a 3” thick board. Thinking of how to decorate or incorporate the extra width added or materials to use 🤔
Is it the chain that's breaking down? The cross beam just screws straight into the tracks, so I can't see how that keeps crashing down if it's screwed in
@@nicoleandedden Love the reply, thanks. The Cross beam has been popping off the stud on the non-motorized stud. I beat it on last night with a hammer and I'm optimistic that maybe it holds this time! Glad to hear that yours is holding up well! Most helpful video on the internet for Hapijac.
@@QuintonHamp Appreciate it! I can't imagine what would need hammering to fix on the happijac 😅😂 but I hope it works out! If not, I would need some photo or video to understand what exactly is happening. Not that I'm actually an expert or anything hahah
I love your place, guys. It's simply beautiful. ❤ Thank you for sharing. I am so interested in venturing off into the unknown with van life. But first I need to buy a van.
I am really looking forward to accompanying your expansion.❤ What kind of program do you use for this and to design your van, that would also be useful for me and I (I do the design and other build out :-)) could equip the van handicapped accessible and hopefully as beautiful as you. I'm curious, I've written to the company to find out what ingredients are in Smartcert, I hope it doesn't contain any harmful substances.
We use vanspace3d (anandavans--vanspace3d.thrivecart.com/vanspace-3d-lifetime/) to do the layout design! It's super easy and intuitive compared to most 3D design programs.
Stellar content, this is why the gods gave us the internet. Do you happen to know the finished weight of the product installed cured and finished? Like per square foot or meter? Obviously not a well documented spec for a product meant to be used in a house. Likewise do you know about UV resistance? Shouldn't matter inside, but I'm thinking of maybe a roof deck or something similar?
Haha thanks! I don't have an exact measurement in terms of the weight, it will also depend on how you apply it (thicker or thinner). But as an estimate, I would consider it about 30% of the weight of the plywood we applied it too (we were using 1/2" baltic birch plywood). Not sure how helpful that will be to you, sorry! But we don't have another unit of measurement. Also I think it's completely UV resistant, as it's meant for outdoor use as well. But I would confirm that with them as well. Good luck!
Hello both of you, your last van moved me to tears❤❤, we in Germany or Europe have never seen such a beautifully finished van. I am a wheelchair user, can you please always give me the dimensions so that I can get an idea of how big a wardrobe, bed, furniture and the hallway are. Of course, I can't build furniture that deep because I have to drive through the van with my wheelchair. How many tons do you build? We would be delighted, have fun with the extension❤❤❤❤
Wow, thank you for your kind words! Glad you enjoyed it. Our van came out 4.2 tons fully loaded. I don't have plans available to send unfortunately, but our bed/living room area was 80" long, with the kitchen about 48" long. The bathroom in the back was the remainder, about 40" long. Our counters were 42" high and 22" deep. Hope that helps :)
I don't think there is much difference honestly. Prevents needing to wire into the engine bay I guess. And finding a fuse that only works upon ignition.
This is the best van I have ever seen. It incredible how you have created the living space separate from the cab. Congratulations to you both on an amazing job. Enjoy your travels.
