This is to help educate people, to better understand how the English Bible’s came to be. Each previous, predecessor of the English Bible was a stepping stone in refinement. First off the Catholic Church opposed the Bible being written in the common person’s language. People were killed, or an attempt was made on the lives of some, examples being Wycliffe, Tyndale, King James, and the 47 translating scholars of the KJB. All of the English Bibles prior to the KJB, either were done by a single person, or a small group. This means that there was less proofreading, oversight, and accountability! So this is what sets the AV/KJB apart from any translation before, or after, is the 47 chosen as the best scholars, and linguist of all time. None like these had ever been assembled before, or since. Their level of education, and expertise was superior to any before, or after. Their education started between the ages of 4-5, and were fluent in Hebrew, Greek, and Latin by the ages of 6-7! Studying anything, and everything historically from those languages for 12-16 hours a day! Modern scholars on average have about 8 years of advanced studies in higher education, and might know one ancient language somewhat? The 47 would make modern scholars look like children, infants even. The only directive they were given, was they were commissioned to produce a Bible, and to be as accurate, and precise as possible! This is exactly what they did, and the KJB is the perfect refinement of all of the predecessors. There are no errors, only misunderstandings! As a TR/Majority Text only(5800 plus copies- 99.04%), and a KJB preferred/best person after much research, and study. Having once used the NIV(78&84), and the NASB(77&95) for more than 30 years, along with the KJB. Most modern bibles come from the minority Alexandrian texts(primarily 3 - .06 % of copies, corrupt, fake manuscripts), so they are rejected! I do utilize the pre-KJB Reformation era Bibles(ie Tyndale, and Geneva), along with newer TR/Majority Text Bibles:NKJV, MEV, MLV, and WEB, and other KJV variants: KJV2000, KJV21, KJVER, and Simplified KJV. One other thing that people get wrong is the Elizabethan English used in the KJB isn’t Old English(that would be Beowulf from the 10th century). It is actually middle modern English, which is the highest form of the English language. People get confused because our current usage of the English language is considerably degraded, and society in general has been dumbed down. The thee, thou, thine, and ye were already out of use when the KJB was produced. But for accuracy in the distinction between singular, and plural they were added. So if anyone has questions I’ll be glad to help. Also as someone who had learning difficulties growing up, and a speech impediment as well. The KJB, along with an audio version cured me, it was the only thing that worked!
How are we supposed to believe everything in the Bible, but we’re not supposed to believe the apocrypha books? Why confuse me and even put the apocryphal books in the Bible? I was raised to believe everything in the Bible .
Great video! Thanks for going through this version, its hard to find online now, and its great that you spent a lot of time actually showing the Bible 👍🏻
I never saw any maps or bteakdown of certain letters of detail views of english languague and the cover was green and all I've seen in past were red or light colored cover books. So your saying the first dictionary had no maps or other facts of knowledge? Hum, maybe it was an obvious short version of the 1913 webster dictionary. Mine has maps of locales on earth, a value breakdowns of letters, and more. Bottom line.
Thank you brother. You saved me a trip to the library tomorrow. I’ve been researching all night for the difference between the 1599 and 1560 versions. Time to brush up on my old English. Peace. Ordering tomorrow.
There's a big push by the reformed, calvinist heretics to get people to get the Geneva "bible" where the margins are stacked full of poisonous heresy from John "the devil" Calvin, the murderous heretic who reigned as a tyrant in GENEVA Switzerland because dying and going to hell. But the Geneva "bible" is just another fraud. There were divine reasons it was superseded by the vastly superior King James Bible. Here just one example..... There's a video that circulates that pretends to show that the KJB is in error because it defines Ephesians 6:12 as spiritual warfare whereas the Geneva "bible" teaches that verse to mean that we are to war against civil government. Here's my reply to such: This is a deception. Beware. Be not deceived. Cease being so gullible to believe every video of someone ranting. First off, the whole text, passage of Ephesians 6:10-18 is clearly, overwhelmingliny speaking of SPIRITUAL warfare, not combatting the civil government, which Christ, His apostles, and early church never did. Read it afresh for the actual context. Just because he rants doesn't make what he's saying true. this information is actually in error because Jesus and his apostles never resisted the corrupt Roman Government of their time nor did they teach others to rebel against the government. Keep in mind that governments civil governments are ordained of God although many times they become corrupt. Check out Romans chapter 13 1st Peter chapter 2 verses 13 and 14. Also keep in mind that John Calvin was a lawless murderous man and he wanted nothing to do with accountability to anyone including governments. See Romans 13 and 1 Peter 2:13-14 about the command of God to obey government servants who are in place to protect and provide a fair monetary system. With this truth in mind, it should be easy to understand why the LORD had the King James Bible translators correct this obviously error in the Geneva "bible."
Do you have any provable, fact-based evidence of anything spiritual in the bible? And by "evidence" I mean, NOT any hearsay, feelings, faith, beliefs, hopes, coincidences or bible stories written by man.
I'm thinking about ordering a 215RLP1BK. You are right. CBP is my favorite. I own two Schuylers. Dark Green and Dark Purple. Absolutely gorgeous quality. The paper is cloth. I still prefer CBP Bibles. Old school classics.
Did this change the natural scent of the leather? I have a smaller one made of French Morocco leather and while I would love to keep it conditioned, I don't want to lose that beautiful scent of the leather when I open the box to read it.
Amazon has this in 1560 and 1599. I just got my 1560 today. I will finally read the entire old testament through. My goal is one book per day or one hour of reading per day.😍😎
It's really a choice. The Smyth sewn signatures is what brings that rugid durability. The price gives you five times the quality and longevity. God bless you
ABSOLUTELY this could replace the KJV for me. I love that it's more original, and the KJV is a great version, he had some bias opinions in his version. Thank you for this great great review you did on The Geneva Bible. You show many pages that someone that's interested would want to see and gave time for us to pause and read. Well done brother.
Personally I use lip balm, leather, after all is skin and lip balm is a skin protectant. It not only treats and lubricates dry leather, but the paraffin, mineral oil, and carnauba wax makes for a nice polish. And it's less than a buck and a quarter per tube. Just rub it into the leather, let it sit a few minutes, then polish with a dry soft cloth.
Yeah I have some questions are the people who are misclassified as negro black in color Indian native American African-American are they Moors also who are the Aboriginal Americans and what is the definition of European
Alot of the information you seek is in the Library of Congress. Or just look up the Word in Older Dictionaries like this. Once you see it and comprehend it yourself, then start your journey from there.
Great video man. Is your KJV Goatskin Bible in this video, still functioning properly/remaining supple? I have a goatskin NKJV Thomas Nelson Bible & I wanna use this conditioner on it.
Thanks for sharing this review, I will order this 1560 Bible instead of the 1611, this Geneva one looks easier to read. I love that lion tattoo you have on your hand!!
I think they would replace this if you sent that back tbh. Save yourself a lot of money and get the basic vinyl covered hardback Royal Ruby. It will last just as long as the leather one ane lies flat easier too: God bless.
So many words definitions have changed or used against us to control or suppress information and knowledge, this is why old books like this one are so important to having a free society. Words and there original meanings are very important to understand context of the past, and to also protect us from words being misused and manipulated to change the way we view things.
Hey, Bible believer, your Bible's production date is 2001, made in Western Europe in those good old times of really quality products, not todays Chinese chemical made one's! Maybe opened it too widely...? And it... That Bible doesn't lay flat, as you said. You must be glad, that your Bible isn't prodused by Printcorp (Belarus) or even in China. TBS has shifted from Jognbloed (Holland) to Printcorp for a long time. Printcorp produces Bibles with washy-gray paper and the ink put very a little - gray text... The whole their Bibles looks VERY VERY washy! Some their Bible editions even unreadable. So you're really HAPPY, but you still dont know that indeed☝️ Trust me, bro.
