Just a question. Is the stabilizer not used to help hold the stitching. With no stabilizer where the stitches are will they not let go or loosen up eventually? Thanks
I wish I lived in Tennessee! I love to get private digitizing instruction! But I will look forward to the online course to SA!! But You PIVOT, spread your wings and GO! Blessings to you and all you do!! 🩷🩷🩷 (p.s. There are very few embroidery anything at most of these expos, so more rep is fantastic!!)
I want to try and make this bag. HOw do you have the stabilizer hooped? Do you not have the top piece on it and just have it clipped to the bottom piece of the hoop?
Am I correct - you seem to be using a Brother PR655 machine - however the frame looks much bigger than the maximum 300x200 one - how did you manage to that stitch out please? i have 670e and would love to use the same size frame
Melissa, I started machine embroidery in 2015 and yours were some of the first designs I purchased. They gave me the confidence to master ITH designs and even create some of my own. I love your idea to teach classes at sewing shops, that is also how I learned this hobby. I attended a couple of excellent classes taught by a rep from AG of out of Charlotte, NC. She gave us three projects to stitch out using different techniques and provided a workbook to take with us. There is nothing better than in-person instruction for learning and having fun with others who enjoy machine embroidery. The shops in my area (Raleigh, NC) are always looking for people to teach classes because of course it gets people into their shops to buy machines, so if you are able to travel and are interested, I can give you the names and contacts. I'd definitely attend your class and even help you if you needed an assistant! Best of luck on your new journey, which I'll continue to follow with great interest.
I have a friend and colleague in NC so yes, I'm absolutely up to that! Please email me any info you think would be helpful! designsbylittlebee@gmail.com 💜
I am so excited for you! I look forward to learning from you in person! And giving you a BIG hug! But at 77 years old I don't travel well. So the closer you get to the west coast is good for me! Love you lots!
From your mouth to God's ears! Haven't been West of Texas in a lonnnnnng time! But I'm ready! You are more than welcome in the virtual classes and stitchalongs!
I was self employed selling finished ITH designs for a few years. After awhile, I wanted to have coworkers again. I went back to my former career and have never regretted it. I craft on the weekends and have 1 or 2 orders a week. I have a sewing and crafting room but I prefer to work in the living area. All this to say that I completely understand your feelings.
Here's a secret: I applied for a part-time job in retail last week!! Just a couple of days a week to be out there with a routine, working in retail (which I love) in a small place with a couple of coworkers and the general public. I'm actually excited! 💜
