This guy has an amazing ability to put you in the moment, he paints a vivid picture of the environment and time he was in. He talks with wisdom, would be great to see him do documentaries on hiphop or the bronx. I was just reminiscing and wanted to hear "whatcha want" again and stumbled upon this. Was great to see him aging well and still dropping knowledge.
Always a huge fan of Nine. Bought Nine Lives in cassette and later on CD and also Cloud 9, Quinine & King. Definitely underrated and although there are many comparisons as far as his voice is concerned to DMX and Ja Rule, I got mad respect for X although I knew about Nine first back in '95....didn't hear DMX till 1999. Never liked Ja Rule so no words and no comparison IMO.
I am from Greece. And i have been listening to this guy since the day he released his first album. His first two albums are among the best east coast releases ever imo. I never understood why he did not blow up like others did.
