Hello, I plan to travel to Lubumbashi in January. If I purchase my StarLink in Zambia, can I use it in Lubumbashi or in border Cities like Kasumbalrsa given that StarLink is blocking connection in DRC?
Currently using a Magneto 1500w power station from micmar its good enough to power my fridge and tv at home and charge my macbook and phones. Only issue is it couldn’t charge via solar for some reason, the electrician concluded it’s a faulty Power station I’ll probably return it.
Solar I have come to learn is a tricky thing in Zed. Finding a competent installer and electrician is the hard part. Try to see if there is any independent electrician can confirm if it's faulty. If confirmed take it back for a refund or replacement
I am African American investor. I am looking to start a business in Zambia. I already have a name that name that has been accepted into Pacra. What are the next steps? Do I need a work permit or visa? If so, how can I get that? And what are all the fees?
Hi there..am one of your subscribers..been watching you for a couple of years but I thought I let you know that you are the best in the country at what you do.iv learnt a lot..please keep it up.
In My Country Zambia, solving problems are almost always done from a point of response or rather when something bad has/is happening. As a result there is a mechanical approach to all solutions and therefore you are left with no choice. First there is a matter of perception change that is never addressed. No matter what system you implement or how good it is, if the thinking is not changed you will will have the same challenges until the end of time. As a result, managing backlash will be the norm (And in this case where the Zambian populous are passive aggressive) and finally use extreme measures for simple problems. When the perception on the ground when you buy a Toyota Starlet is "Alina Ndalama" not matter which class your are in, you know you have a BIG PROBLEM......For goodness Sake its a mode of transportation................. That being said, When you see a crime being foiled, distance yourself from it and at "Safety", report it. Now if you have a situation where so many are disadvantaged that any deal is lucrative and will alleviate the poverty experienced.....You will have fraudulent activities even in taxation which will bring about cutting corners and making mistakes that are not even necessary. The number of lessons that i have learnt about taxation that where not even from the classroom are mind blowing. Like, did you know that VAT is an IN and OUT Tax and there is no need to get smart about not paying it? As life is before you meet the right person to let you know of these facts, you will have messed up your tax record or had that "Low Life of an Accountant" clean you out in the name of being a "Consultant". Word to the wise.......Consultants assume no liability for the decisions you make and their subsequent outcome. If you can avoid them and do it yourself. What i do not particularly like about taxation is the amount of time involved in you collecting taxes at the expense of your own survival in a business landscape like Zambia. From the 1st to the 18th of every month, you spend the whole time paying bills and taxes. Even if it is not physically undertaken each day, the haunting though of you having the state and bills on your conscience and at every waking moment is ridiculous. When do you have the time to innovate and create or better still be with family? Its preposterous. Anyway, When a system is developed and you are given no alternative and comes with a deadline and the looming aura of prosecution, imprisonment and death (Imprisonment is tantamount to Death. If you do not agree, try living a normal life with a criminal record and see what the odds are of survival). The system is not for your benefit, it is for the good of everyone. Your task is to find out if you qualify to be "Everyone". Good Video Mr M, It demystifies the process and saves the user time.
