Hey everyone, my name is Neil and I’m a videographer based in South Carolina. My goal is to share my journey on everything film making. I’m working towards being a proper filmmaker myself. I want to talk about gear, production and strategy when it comes to film making projects. I hope you stay around for the journey and get immense value out of the content here.
Stay tuned to the channel, as I have several videos coming showing the behind the scenes of some projects that I have done and coming up. Thank you for checking out this video.
Yes, the R10 supports USB C charging. So if you use a monitor just run a USB C cable to the camera from the battery and power both your camera and monitor.
Great information. Thanks. Wonderful that you can get such a good Cinema cam for so reasonable a price. The hype surrounding hybrid cameras is insane. It leads us to believe what we own is obsolete every 18-24 months. Also, you're right on re making something creative and dealing with all the practicals rather than obsessing over gear. Most gear heads with G.A.S. probably don't want to hear this. :)
Absolutely ! It’s even better now that the 6KFF is still available for $1595 on sale but the sale is off I believe. But you can still find them for $1999 which is crazy for what that camera does.
Good stuff. Just a short criticism of the boom mic placement for that couple that you interviewed. The boom mic shuld be AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE to your subjects, IE just out of frame. Placement is critical and you'll want it as close as possible to the source. Keep it up.
Hey, I record a podcast with my A7iv…..we record for at least an hour and half, Would this save me money in the long run. If so… I don’t see any for 399$ And how would you upload to my Mac pro lap top?
Yes as you can record straight to an SSD 1TB drive which cost $60-70 and have lots of room for storage. You would need a SATA to USB C cable to transfer your footage to your MacBook
If the monitor could be folded out sideways and fit into the slot on the big batttery thing you would have an info display on the side and a monitor up top like most cinema camera have
HELLO FRIEND, I hope you answer this question, I have the same thing, what I want is to do this, I want to use a battery like a smallrig to power, I don't want to buy my own camera batteries, but I also want to use an external SSD to record my videos, now the problem is that it only has a type C input, HOW DO YOU DO IN THAT CASE, not if there are options on the market for any adapter to connect through a type c adpator to hdmi or more inputs to attic c to C? OR WON'T IT BE PROBLEMS LIKE BURNING THE CAMERA PLATE? Either it is using one of two, either using the external SSD with its own camera batteries or using the SD for the camera.. thank you I hope you answer me
Hello, I don’t believe there is a solution for your needs. I wouldn’t even trust a cable, adapter or splitter in that use case. Splitting power delivery and simultaneously trying to pass through data to a different channel is not recommended. The only option you could have is a dtap to dummy battery into your camera for power and then that keeps your usb c free for the SSD. Smallrig makes a V mount plate that doesn’t require you have to rig out your camera with baseplate, rails and etc. So essentially just the plate and v mount battery of your choice. Really compact and functional.
Hey there and I appreciate you checking out the video. I’ll be releasing two different V mount rigs soon on the channel. One with a Kondor Blue Kit and one with a Rigid Pro Cine Back kit. Stay tuned and thank you for the kind words.
I want to get my hands on the new one! Payload capacity is better, overall stability I believe is better as well. Also being able to adjust quickly would be so clutch !
that’s veterans day my bro. Memorial day is a day we remember the fallen that have gave their life for the freedoms of this country . that said i appreciate your sentiments these reviewers all need to be called out for all the fake stuff they spew. if u like panasonic then don’t listen to these guys out there that don’t even shoot . only go on vacations and pretend they are photographers . most those guys don’t do this in the real world nice video and thanks for spreading awareness
Dang it I always get those two mixed up but either way I’m so grateful for our veterans, soldiers and all who serve and have served. Thank you for the kind words and I do agree with your sentiment. Folks just need to think and do research for sure. No better use than real world use especially when it comes to dropping thousands or gear. I greatly appreciate you coming by and taking the time 🙏🏼
Hmm great question, first answer would be I don’t think so. I never thought to check. But I will and let you know. Thanks for stopping by and checking out the video.
@@neilfullframe thank you brother, I got the Sony fx6, love it, and I own the shogun ultra, and its like you said, the best monitor I also ever used. love this monitor. looking forward to the more deeper dive of this monitor.
Thanks man, I think you have a great take on this. All of this definitely has me thinking about how I have reviewed gear in the past and how I will from here on out.
This controversy has a positive point. A lot of new You Tubers has popped up in my list. I watched a lot of this videos and check their old video and subscribed to their channel. Gerald Undone has let You Tube show a lot of new You Tubers, who put their opinion video out to the community. That is the positive of this controversy.
Hey Nick I’m using anything 150W and up. The only battery that I have that works is the Core SWX NANO 150 micro V mount. My Came-TV and Moman V99 batteries don’t have enough power to run the light at 100%
There was another guy that showed a lot of behind the scenes stuff and I really liked that stuff. He ran a fulltime production house and he really did not always have the time to make clean flashy videos. He even got a movie on Netflix. He was making this really cheap kind of mid evil movies. One of the was orcs Vs Park Rangers. A portal from another world opened up and these orcs like from Lord of the Ring came through the portal and the park rangers has to hold them off. He made another movie about ocrs coming to our world an US Navy Seal guy had to taken them down. They are not really horror movies but about the same as Lord of the Rings scary.
Panasonic gives out free camera gear to everyone that reviews their gear. I can tell you I know for a fact that Fuji has also done the same thing but not like Panasonic does. Fuji does it from time to time and one very famous fashion photographer they gave this person a medium format camera and a bunch of lens and all they ask is when you post online on photography sites just say what you use.
