Posted it the day after this! Not only that, but it's a limited edition pressing! Check it out: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sqdBnAHhito.html
The inner sleeve is the authentic original and the green record label is an indication that this could be a first pressing. Warners was known for these promotional "Loss Leader" compilations, priced reasonably to expose their artists which was shown on the sleeve. I wish you would have talked about the actual music which is a vital part of the film and composed by Wendy Carlos, a trans electronic musician. very rare in the seventies.
*I can't believe I'm actually here watching the excitement and pure, unadulterated joy of you opening up a mailing package containing nothing so much less as an actual RECORD*
I remember the original gatefold album from the mid-70s. My friends older siblings bought it upon its first release. I didn't understand the whole Clockwork Orange storyline until I saw it at a repertory movie theatre in southwest Ontario in the 70s. I found the movie horrifying and grotesque for my 15 year old self. Perhaps record buyers back-in-the-day were more interested in having another Kubrick soundtrack akin to 2001 at the time.
If you found this film 'horrifying' at 15, then you're obviously very sensitive, or you've bought into the whole negative publicity thrown at it. Compared to a Schwarzenegger movie, it's really very tame. Its violence is mostly all inferred, anyway. But the underlying theme is quite scary, which was its point: We are natural, organic creatures that should grow naturally, not machines to be controlled to fit into a clockwork-type system
Me and my dad are in love with Twenty One Pilots, we used to live in Columbus and we would see them before they were even anything yet. They are among one of my favorite bands with Fall Out Boy, Blink 182, and Metallica. I had ordered that black and orange splatter one before it had sold out somehow, it ended up being a tinted black recoded, you could see through it, and with the orange splatter. I was so ecstatic when I saw the signature flat square box on my kitchen counter. I opened it up with my family and went outside to see it translucent. I love to watch people who are into the hobby of limited edition vinyls. There aren’t too many nowadays. Keep it up with the records and music!!!
Awesome story! Twenty One Pilots is definitely my favorite band, but I've been getting into Fall Out Boy recently, too. Thanks so much for the kind words, and maybe stay tuned for an American Beauty/American Psycho unboxing coming soon 👀
I got one in the same black and white variant! It’s supposed to be delivered today and I’m getting anxious waiting on the FedEx truck lol Edit: I just got it. Omg it’s so pretty
Hey Robotek. Hope you're doing well! I heard about the letter you sent to the baseball teams asking for free items, and I think it's a great idea. Do you mind sharing the content of the letter with me? I'm interested in reaching out to some teams as well, and your letter could be a helpful reference. Thanks in advance! Best regards, ur fav fan
