People in general are broke because of their beliefs (which derive from the media, government, but primarily church & religion). Bible aside, religion aside, church aside, gov. aside, ANYTHING EXTERNAL FROM YOU.... ASIDE. All that matters is your beliefs period. Because your subconscious mind doesn't everything in its power to validate externally whatever it is you plug into it. And then you wonder why church, religion and government FIGHT for your beliefs... which at the end of the day, teach you to feel powerless, a victim, inferior, less than, unworthy, incapable, undeserving, etc... and then you wonder why you're broke... it has nothing to do with dogma or principalities it all comes down to YOUR perception. And now, now you're TRAPPED because your subconscious mind is doing everything in its power to validate this victimhood, inferiority, powerlessness, etc.... and you do it for so long that it molds into your personality..... which DIRECTLY molds your personal reality. Period. That's God's law and the fundamental principalities of how this Universe operates and you don't even need the bible to understand that. You don't need ANYTHING external of you to validate or provide truth for the inherent infallibility that resides WITHIN yourself. You've been taught to look at not only the world as broken, corrupt, flawed, and imperfect but also YOURSELF..... and you wonder why you're broke.... you wonder why we live in a system that can only survive let alone thrive on you being dependent and reliant on them in the first place. How does that happen? For the church / religion to brainwash and doctrine you into believing your a powerless inferior victim in the first place..... and now your mind does everything it can to validate that along with the minds of 90%+ and you wonder why we live in the system / matrix we do..... unaware that your dogmatic beliefs are pouring gasoline to a burning fire... but you've spent your whole life reaffirming it, so you validate it as truth.. .SHEESH

I think you contradicted yourself by saying you can be wrong then believing that you are right about what the Pastor said. As long as the person giving their lives to Christ knows what it means to them, it matters very little what anyone else thinks it means. Sometimes you influencers, coaches, Christian coaches or whatever can get caught up in the zeal or doctrinal soundness of a thing but forget the truth of it. I don't think that Christ cares what you think as long as heaven gets to rejoice over one sinner who repents. 🙂

I'm not sure I understand the whole context of the church you went to but just out of curiosity. Isn't there a difference between "to" and "for". Jesus gave his life "for" us and we gave ours "to" him. And doesn't giving your life "to" him mean yielding to his instructions as you stated later in the video I'm just curious.
What helped me a bit was that, when we come to Christ we can't do anything but receive. Like the parable of the lost coin. We do nothing to earn salvation, we just come as we are and receive his free gift. Giving your life to Jesus implies you have something to give to be saved. When Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. Without Jesus you have no life to give. This is confusing to people who don't yet know Christ because they may subconsciously think they are going to lose what they've been trying to hold on to, to come to Jesus. But there's nothing to lose because we're dead without Christ. In him is life and the life is the light of the world. So when we come to the altar to receive, we have nothing to give. But a change takes place on the inside during salvation, Jesus makes us a new creation and old things are passed away, and with his spirit alive in us, we begin to lay things down for him.
@@restfulfaith6940 you know I actually think it's more of a wording thing because to give your life means to surrender. I don't think it's giving like giving God a present it's more like allowing him to have control over you. You give him access to your all like you said. I think it's more of a wording issue. I mean the lost coin is within the context of the prodigal son and the story has the boy going back to his dad saying "Make me one of your servants". I do think they can be some consistency within giving your life to God and him giving his son to us. Like him giving his son wasn't necessarily him giving us control over him like we do when we give our lives to Christ. I hope that makes sense. I'm not anti anything you just said I just do think giving your life to Christ explained within the context of yielding your life to him sounds quite theologically consist Anyways, this most probably be my last response to any follow up because I prefer face to face or let alone texting on the side.
