This channel is all about random repairs and restorations. Anything from hammers to spaceships. One of the bigger project will be the restoration of a Citroen Hy 1972 foodtruck. My workshop is super small and my resources and space is limited, but i do what i can with what i have.
To get things moving I really need your help - so pleeeease subscribe and rate my videos to let youtube know that my content is interesting. I highly appreciate your comments regarding wishes for content, tips for editing and what i could have done different. Hopefully this will also bring me closer to you my fellow hobbyists
Hello. I have an HDS 8/17-4M machine that is having an error when switching to eco mode but cannot heat water. There is no error message on the screen. I hope to receive help from you and everyone. Thank you.
Disconnect the fuel line on the burner and check that fuel is coming through the fuel pump. If no fuel try putting 24v ac (you can take this directly from the transformer) directly to the coil on the fuel pump. It should click when you power and disconnect. If it clicks and still no fuel coming through and all the hoses from the fuel tank including filter is ok its probably the fuel pump. If fuel is coming through check that there is spark, it should always spark when in heat mode.

Não consegui dar o like(👍), pois para mim faltou melhor polimento em algumas peças, também não mostra como recuperou uma peça que for danificada na montagem, pela idade da máquina, poderia ter sido uma restauração incrível!
@@randomrepairandrestoration1766 Could I get in touch with you somehow? I have a pressure washer (HDS551) I ran dry by mistake for 40 seconds and it won’t show more than 100 psi now. I remember it used to be over 200 but I don’t understand how 40 seconds ruined the pump. Is there dirt in the valves somewhere?
Its a bit difficult to pinpoint exactly, but i would guess the bypass valve is the first place to look into. Remove it and inspect the spring and the plastic around the bottom "disc" along with the o rings. Dry run on a pump that spins almost 3000rpm would kill most plastic and rubber parts.
Is it just when the trigger is pushed or does it stop the motor also at 100psi? If its just when you pull the trigger i would guess the nozzle or its drawing air through the soap valve.
@@randomrepairandrestoration1766 So initial start I saw it’s 200+ When you press trigger it on goes to 100 psi then struggles there. When you let go off trigger it stays at 100ish. A couple of things I need to check: 1- pressure from the tap is about 8 seconds for a litre. So maybe need bucket to test 2- clean the water strainer 3- clean the other strainer 4- use soap as it was empty so maybe sucking air through there? But I assume soap gets added later at the end so pressure on the gauge should still show more? See the video maybe that gives you more info to diagnose?
The problem with my Kipor is that it is randomly giving the Overload Alarm after a few minutes running even if nothing is connected to it. Any idea please?
Good to know about this possible issue for future error repair. Thank you! Maybe someone have experience or any suggestion in following matter. My Kipor IG2600 generator started to kicks back when to pull cord. Not every time when to start (pull cord) but randomly. Sometimes seems like problem gone and then few next times when to start kicks back again. That's why I afraid to pull quickly-forcefully, it may hurt arm seriously when kick back. Also quite often hard to pull rope especially at the beginning. I know that normally there is small compression but sometimes it feels too much. This problem appeared already many years ago and MAYBE (not sure) after this when I tried to start generator, start recoil stucked. I waited few minutes and tried again but somehow lost rope handle from my hand and this rope handle broke case and rope pull-back case as well when returned quickly. I repaired it by myself. Maybe something went wrong. Then it was almost new generator, maybe after 3rd full tank. One Kipor UK dealer-repair shop responded to my request for help that ignition trigger on the flywheel needs moving 1.5mm. Clockwise. At the same time others saying that ignition adjustment in such inverter generators not possible. One local repair shop adjusted the valves (as one possible solution) but still have same uncomfortable problem. I think there might be compression release issue. Thanks in advance!
Excellent video. Check out “Hand Tool Rescue”. He did a restoration on a Belt Lacing Tool like yours in October 2018. Maybe you can pick up some ideas from his video.
Greetings. Please make a video about setting up this carburetor, how to set it correctly so that it doesn’t turn off under load and saves fuel in economy mode?
If it stops it is usually because it does not get enough fuel. Disassemble the carburator and clean the nozzle tube and jet. - basicly remove the bowl, clean the jet (the nut on the bowl), remove the screw from inside the senter "pipe" and push out the tube. Clean them so all the small holes are open.
@@randomrepairandrestoration1766 I have already cleaned it. I want to achieve the lowest possible speed in economy mode, to save fuel, but so that when connecting a large load, it also pulls it without going into protection.
the video is very good! I also have a hilti 72, I would like to renew it, but I can't find parts. Can you help me with this, where can I buy parts? Thanks
Some parts are easily available on eBay. Some of the parts are interchangeable with other Hilti tools. Even though a bit expensive, your local Hilti specialized hardware store should be able to order the parts for you.

For those wondering, this tool is for splicing the ends of mechanical drive belts together. It sets the ends of the leather (or whatnot) belts with metal staples--"laces" that are then interlaced and locked with a thin metal rod. Hey presto, bull-tough drive belt.
The original board was working. It was the wire terminal going into the connector on the board that was broken. The new board also seemed to be working, but I returned it to the store for refund before I really got to test it.
