Ateez's cover of rhythm ta is my favorite 😌 it's so different from the original song but so incredible!! Their performance in kingdom was amazing with also their own story line included in the dance, I love it ❤
xikers also did an awesome cover of the song guerrilla! Their energy is actually quite similar to ateez, you should check them out! Here's the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pS4qEFqalkg.htmlsi=smJ6fsU6JmVcyuFV You can also find the video if you search "count dance xikers" on RU-vid 😉
Correct ne if im wrong. But majotity of the video its just the griups dancing. Not live singing the songs. Just only look like they are doing the choreography and a few clips lip synch
I love how seventeen and oneus are the only respectful boy group covers. Seventeen more close to the essence of the original tho. I never used to like when 3rd generation used to mockingly cover gg songs…
Everytime i heard other ppl cover exo or tvxq song, i feel like there is not enough power in their performance. I get that the vocal is super hard to cover but even the dance feels greasy sometimes
I think why a lot of people fall short on doing Covers of ATEEZ songs, specifically INCEPTION, is that they think it's only a Generic Love song. When its not (I mean, it can be) but the song and video is about their Passions. They are in love with their Goals (Dreams) (and it ties into their lore) so they tend to perform Inception like a Love song when you should be performing it, like it's your last chance to achieve your dreams. San even mentioned in a live with Hwa, that he put a lot into the acting of Inception. This goes for a lot of ATEEZ songs too, I'm guessing that people just assume they are just "hype" songs and forget the real message and meaning behind the songs. Hongjoong himself have said that each comback, each stage, is a message, a story being told. What I'm trying to say is, I think all of them here did a good job (E'LAST slayed, I should check out their songs) (except for the ones that changed thanxx- why e'LAST, I was rooting for u😭- n the ones that made wonderland an xmas song- like what was that💀 their producers should never touch music again) but they missed out on a chance to bring a message or tell a story with the covers. Add their own energy and make it stand out. But whatever, I'm just a stranger on the internet with ATEEZ as my Ult, so I'm probably biased.
I love this compilation. Two of my favorite covers are Vanner's Adore U cover on Peak Time and Moon Jongup from BAP covering Anyone (one of my fave SVT songs)
So the conclusion is, all 4th gen idols are monbebes? 😅😊 This is probably one of the reasons as to how MONSTA X is able to sing and perform the songs they have, on national tv, because most of their songs arent exactly 'clean'. The lyrics and meaning behind 'Alligator' and I.M's english line in 'Love killa' 🫣🫣 Songs have been banned for less in South Korea, but the respect and admiration they have in the industry allows it 😊
They are all so good but whenever I see groups that are not ateez perform their songs I feel like they are missing a step or energy, or they try to look cute/handsome when that's not even the point of the song, some songs you are SUPPOSED to look a little bit crazy and let the music flow into you without caring how you look
I'm mainly talking abt wonderland, HALA HALA, and guerrilla, you are supposed to show the "ugly" and unrestricted emotion/expression I mean that's how the demon line gots it name
I'm not a dancer. What I've realized from this compilation is this. The people who covered Ateez followed the choreography, but every member of Ateez adds their special touch that gives it life. Case and point San's Smoke challenge. He took the choreography and made it own.
