"Exuberant chamber orchestra!" "Admirably dedicated to bringing free music!" - TIMEOUT NEW YORK
The New York Classical Players (NYCP) is a professional chamber orchestra of highly-gifted young instrumentalists from different cultures committed to bringing free classical repertoire concerts to the public.
As one of today's most exciting young performing arts organizations, the NYCP takes on the responsibility of being an emerging cultural source by connecting people with a broader world of musical art and culture.
Amazing.. I’m really loving the dynamic range of this small orchestra. As always, Mr. Sunwoo’s high-energy yet gentle and subtle interpretation is so moving. He expresses the irony and pain so delicately..
Bravooo, bravisimo .
By far my favorite of the versions on RU-vid. It's an almost baroque style of playing, with virtually no vibrato, and the piece just sounds so much better that way. It's also a little faster than most versions, which I like. No small technical accomplishment to play it well at that tempo.
Not bad. With a lot more practice you may even get to the level of performance and technical recording quality of the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra one day.
Here's a question: ALL THESE AWESOME ADAGIOS written so humanity can enjoy.... I realize that adagios were written and performed for someone who died.... my question is WHO died in regards to T. Albinoni writing this piece??
Mercury, No. 43 is in the key of E-flat, not E minor. No. 44, "Trauer" is in the key of E minor. It is nIce to hear these the Sturm und Drang period symphonies performed more frequently.
Only strings, eh? There's a public domain recording of the US Air Force Band playing this very song with only _band_ instruments. I have found the antithesis! I shall combine them!
