A safe place to develop, learn, and discuss all things living. We will be talking about reptiles, birds, fish, plants, and inverts Building enclosure's and giving our animals the best.
I love how spacious and functional you make your enclosures. I’ve seen way too many people keeping caiman lizards and other reptiles in horribly tiny terrariums that aren’t even filled to account for the animals natural behavior. I’m glad to see that your animals have so much room and are so happy.
@@DeonDraijer I would offer food daily. Quarter inch crickets or mealworms. They don't eat a lot but if you notice prey items missing or you see him or her eat personally still offer food daily. If your food is dying in the cage cut back.
@@petermabanta3570 I spend all of my free time at home and this is something I will be doing until I'm old and grey lol. The collection may change over time but it will always be a thing as long as I'm here.
I love this video and just subbed and pressed that notification bell brother my only constructive criticism is I believe a 10 gallon is too small for most anole species as I have seen them get very large !
@@cameronshaffer1592 first of all I really appreciate it. You are not wrong at all. Even the anoles that stay really small still deserve a little more space than that. They are highly intelligent and active animal's.
He looks so nice, I’m so sad I got any first gecko at like 2-3 months old and she had a terrible shed and I didn’t know what to do so she lost some of her toes. It makes me so sad anytime I see a normal one now.
Ps please don’t roast me I was brand new and didn’t know shed aid was a thing I tried my best and soaked her once a day for a week straight and didn’t want to hurt her by peeling it off bc I heard that was bad
@@Jokesterjunction1 we all have problems at one point in our reptile journey. Just learn from what happened and keep the animals better in the future. It sucks but its OK.
Its such a fucking tragedy what's happening to salamanders and nobody seems to care, thanks for trying to introduce more clean animals into the hobby, even if they can't go across most borders
Hey man how did you get your Kenyan skinks so chill I’ve had mine 9 months and he’s still skittish as hell, he’ll come eat from my hand but if I literally move a muscle he’s gone
@@kh0stie. No not at all. It was built high enough to keep it mostly dry. I wouldn't build it this way again though unless I didn't have plans on moving it lol.
@@AllThingsLiving813 really cool man, might have to try this! seems much easier than the methods i’ve been trying and you got a nicely sized water area
I've read that they're aboreal but haven't seen someone make an aboreal tank for them and know many skinks are burrowers. Do you know anything about that?
@@BigButterSauce they are. This is one of the only skink species I see primarily on the surface. They don't like rain and they love to climb lol. They are strange but absolutely amazing.
Great content! I love the intro to jumpers and the learn together format along with the details! I’ve raised jumpers for about 9 months now but I’m still enjoying learning new things about them 😊
@@reptilesavage they are kind of difficult because they eat snails regularly. And I put a pond in my enclosure because they love water. I think it would be stressed without water.
Growing up in West Melbourne, a city in Central FL with lots of character, I can attest that our law enforcement is comprised for Floridians. In High School, I once had the cops called to a house party/bon fire I threw, the officers ended up playing beer pong with us😂.
If your still looking to grow your products a good leopard Gecko breeder I've had time to talk to and is really good IMO Is MS Farms on morph market 💯💯💯
That’s awesome man, we have also acclimated fire skinks, emerald tree skinks and red eyed crocodile skinks to captive breed. Love seeing this. We should link up.
Good for you man. I bet you will be busy with all the new projects. If you breed fish I would say do smaller cichlids, shrimp, and maybe some bettas. It does suck losing animals but I hope those memories stay with you and you have fun with the up coming babies. Keep on posting because I enjoy your videos. Wishing all good and peace as you get situated
Its people like you that make it easy to go on. I appreciate your kind words. It is much needed in this time of stress. I promise I will be back with some great projects soon. Thank you once again.
Hey I love you channel! I am interested in breeding my approximately 3yr old fire skink. Originally I was told female, but as of recent I'm starting to see more development in the jaws, but I'm suspicious that she is a bit chubby as well. Is there any way I could show you some photos for you to give you thoughts on whether she is in fact a female?
G this looks sweet. You should do an avatar last Airbender theme. This build makes me want to do something like this too. Love your content and keep posting great content
Hell yah bro, definitely the best care video on these guys I've seen. I want a monitor so bad, but don't have the room right now so I'm really wanting one of these guys or a pair! They doing pretty good still?
yup they are even getting more comfortable with the idea of handling. I don't really like to handle my animals but it does make it easier when it comes time to clean or just do check ups.
