Love love love this!!!Thank you so much for giving Thomasville-Thomas County Humane Society the honor of participating. My family volunteers at the shelter and it was very rewarding to see the happy furkids get a new home.Thank you so much for everything <3
Great video by the way! I would love to see an entire series like this, I think if people started out in animal welfare watching videos like this it probably would make a large impact!
Animalkind NY - A lot of shelters have a tendency to hold onto animals longer than needed. Overly strict adoption processes, a delay in s/n before they can be put up and many various other reasons. This shows that by streamlining the process, such as quicker adoption, quicker turn around time to get an animal adopted, etc you actually solve many of the problems an impacted shelter faces.
Thank you for your comment. This clip is showing just one of the assessment items conducted. The assessment item prior to this is one in which we call to the kitty.
Gtbag - Dogs are given scores of 1-5 in SAFER, I think what you are asking to see is a dog that has scored a 5. Here is a link to the ASPCApro.org page that shows a dog named Billie who displayed significant food aggression - a 5. You can watch as Billie is given a simple behavior modification plan that sets him up for great success quickly and easily. Check the video description for the link. Dr. Emily Weiss, ASPCA
