"A secret society exists, and is living among all of us. They are neither people nor animals, but something in-between." Fun Fact: Theatrical movie debut of Robert Picardo. What Script Fact: Robert Picardo improvised the line "I want to give you a piece of my mind" before pulling out a bullet from his head. Practical Effects Fact: Rick Baker was originally doing the special effects for this movie, but he left to do An American Werewolf In London (1981), leaving the effects job for this movie in the hands of assistant Rob Bottin. Both movies were released the same year and both received praise for their makeup work. Cameos Cameos Fact: Uncredited, the famed B-movie producer Roger Corman, who had mentored the movie's director Joe Dante, as a man waiting to use a phone box after Karen White (Dee Wallace). When Corman checks the pay-phone for change, this is an in-joke reference to the producer's legendary penny-pinching. The movie's co-screenwriter, John Sayles, playing the morgue attendant.

"It's... Showtime!" Fun Fact: Actress Deborah Voorhees shares her real surname with Jason (Tom Morga). Visual Storytelling Fact: The hockey mask in this film has blue markings on it instead of red ones, foreshadowing that the real killer isn't Jason at all. Producer/Director Fight Fact: Frank Mancuso Jr. didn't get on with the film's director Danny Steinmann. Mancuso called Steinmann a pervert and called the film a soft core porn sex movie rather than a slasher horror film. Make-Up Shenanigans Fact: Rebecca Wood had a lot of fun filming her death scene to the point where she walked down the street with the axe glued to her head acting like a zombie causing people passing by to freak out not knowing if a movie was being filmed up ahead. Rebecca stated that she had a lot of laughs doing it. The Masks Fact: Three different hockey masks are featured in the film. The first is the one which the Jason impostor, Roy (Dick Wieand), wears, which has two blue stripes on either side of the mouth. The second is the one the real Jason (Tom Morga) wears when Tommy (John Shepherd) sees him in the hospital room at the end, which has one red triangle above the eyes. The third is featured on the poster, and is an entirely different hockey mask, with more breathing holes on it. This one is never used in the film.

So how was it odd when the bird goes on to the tattoo chest of the dude but then when the tattoo comes out of the Wolf that is kool both are kool one of the things that I could not stand about the movie is the enemies the bad guys died way too freaking fast with all that freaking awesomeness that they each had they died so quickly maybe if stuff would have been happening earlier in the movie instead of Slow Burn they could have lasted longer couple other things obviously but that was the main thing that I did not care for all in all this movie was way better than Daredevil Catwoman I don't give a damn what anybody says

"Some lessons can't be taught, Elektra. They must be lived to be understood." Fun Fact: The first Marvel movie featuring a female lead. Location Location Fact: The boat house used in the film would later be used in Fifty Shades Of Grey (2015). Action Star Fact: Rob Bowman was impressed by Jennifer Garner's action scenes that she rarely used a stunt double. Will Yun Lee was also rarely replaced. Kirsten Zien does her own martial arts too. Zien had a red belt in tae-kwon-do. Authentic Battle Damage: Will Yun Lee has real katanas and swung them to Jennifer Garner's real sais for 4 to 5 days. While filming the sai/sword fight, Jennifer Garner accidentally got her knuckles sliced by Will Yun Lee. She got her knuckles patched up, and when she and Lee resumed, he subsequently sliced her again in the exact same spot. Lost In Adaptation Fact: Elektra (Jennifer Garner) was created by Frank Miller. The character of Stick (Terence Stamp) was also originally introduced in the Frank Miller era of the Daredevil comic book as the man who taught Matt Murdock martial arts and how to control his heightened senses other than serving as Elektra's instructor. All details relating to Stick's connection to the aforementioned character were omitted.

"So does every guy have to go through this just to find out your name?" "You should try asking for my number." Fun Fact: According to Ben Affleck, Daredevil was his favorite comic book hero. Movie Magic Fact: Jennifer Garner wore green contact lenses over her brown eyes for her role as Elektra. Stunt SNAFU Fact: In their big fight scene, Jennifer Garner accidentally kicked Ben Affleck so hard in the head that he briefly blacked out. Stan Lee Cameo Fact: Comic writer Stan "The Man" Lee appears as an elderly man that a young Matt Murdock (Scott Terra) stops from walking in the streets by holding out his walking stick in front of him. Lee's character is based around the elderly blind man from the comics which Matt saved, but also resulted in the accident that gave him his powers. Weight Gain 3000 Fact: When Michael Clarke Duncan was cast, he weighed 305 pounds. He was asked to gain at least 20 pounds for the role, in order to fit the physique of Kingpin. In order to do this, he would lift weights for thirty minutes a day and power-lifted with one or two reps a day, as well as eating whatever he wanted. Michael Clarke Duncan was often put on lifts or boxes, to make him tower over everyone else, particularly in his scenes with Ben Affleck, who is 6'4". The same thing was done for Duncan in The Green Mile (1999).

"If karate used to defend honor, defend life, karate mean something. If karate used to defend plastic metal trophy, karate no mean nothing." Fun Fact: Theatrical movie debut of Thomas Ian Griffith. Automobile Enthusiast Fact: Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) drives a 1978 Rolls-Royce Corniche Series II and a 1972 Ford Courier Custom Convertible. Snake's (Jonathan Avildsen) car is a 1989 Ford Mustang GT. Spousal Respect Fact: Ralph Macchio's character was supposed to have a romantic relationship with the character of Jessica (Robyn Lively), but he asked to have their relationship be platonic because he didn't want his wife to be jealous. There was also an age difference between them that Macchio was uncomfortable with. Action Star Fact: Sean Kanan beat out 2,000 other martial arts hopefuls for the part of Mike Barnes. Sean Kanan claims that the filmmakers described the character of Mike Barnes to him as "a seventeen-year-old white Mike Tyson" in his audition. While filming, Sean Kanan performed his own stunts, including one wherein he lunged forward and landed on his stomach for 20 takes. After taking aspirin for four days to deal with the residual pain, Kanan fell unconscious. At the hospital, he was diagnosed with internal bleeding caused by a torn abdominal wall.

"Number 5 is ALIVE." Fun Fact: The sound of Johnny 5's (Tim Blaney) laser firing is the same effect as the Ghostbusters' Proton Packs powering up. Location Location Fact: Filmed in the town of Astoria, OR, where also The Goonies (1985) and Kindergarten Cop (1990) were filmed. Stephanie's (Ally Sheedy) house still exists and is located in Astoria. In November of 2019 it sold for $340,000. Casting Notes Fact: In this film and Short Circuit 2 (1988), Johnny 5's voice was provided by puppeteer Tim Blaney. This casting decision was made due to the director's belief that real-time interaction with the robot prop would make the interaction seem more natural on-screen than if they edited his voice in during post-production. Movie Magic Fact: Many of the little tricks done by Johnny 5 (Tim Blaney) on-screen (like flipping through book pages in a blink of the eye and tossing a washer into the air in a mimic of a scene from an old gangster movie he saw) were done using relatively simple, yet ingenious slight-of-hand prop effects. For instance, the pages were flipped using an air hose, while the washer was flipped using a piece of string at both ends sideways. Not only did this save money for the producers for the actual robot and the screenplay, but they proved to be remarkably effective in getting just the right look needed for the scenes.
