Is your battery limit set to 70%? That would explain why if it is. It simply won't put more energy in than your set limit.
@gavinkistner772
@gavinkistner772 Год назад
I do not believe this is correct (or a sensible design). My charge limit is set to 70%, but regenerative braking throughout my 1000' drop over multiple miles will add 1-2% to the charge without hitting this limit. It's only at the very steep beginning of the drive-when the batteries are cold, and the regenerative charge rate is high-that the limit is applied. Further, though not shown in this video, I've experienced this even when the truck had 37% charge.
@lanceguilin
@lanceguilin Год назад
@@gavinkistner772 that is not correct, as you suspected. It'll regen brake close to 100%.

Kyle Conner -- out of Spec Reviews -- had this issue when going downhill CO mountains while towing. he believes Rivian R1T is hitting it's thermal limits. The battery is getting over heated due to too much electricity being charged back into the pack. That's Kyle's conjecture anyway. I think it's ridiculous that the R1T/S will throttle back regen braking after so short an amount of time. If it can be solved via a software update, that would be great, but I fear it's more of a hardware issue.

2022---this was here, and singly an amazing experience. I'd expect to see this kind of thing in many venues going forwards. highly appealing art piece, just make it more portable. the scale and size is great. collective biofeedback as art is going to become more of a thing.....

I'm kind of sad with what they did to this installation this year. (Yes, if you went to the burn this year and didn't see it, it did in fact exist, over at 10:00 and i!) They had changed the seats and earlobe things to platforms with handles you held onto, so they kinda nixed all the vocal bits, and changed the music and light patterns (improved in some ways). I felt like the vocal stuff was one of the most important parts though.

I'm now thinking that "mama" moose is another bull. I cannot explain why these two bulls are hanging out together (and did so for 3 days around my house), but the moose without antlers strongly appears to have antler "scars" on the head, and the nose is dark, without much contrast with the forehead.

I noticed In some sequences the part where it's all pink light seemingly lasted longer than others like this one. maybe that's when it's more in tune...

Yesss this was my favorite thing on the entire playa!!! It was so incredibly compelling and powerful. Thank you for capturing this so we can re-live it.

I tried both low-altitude (25') shallow-angle filming, and higher-altitude (45') shots. My thought was that the higher shots with a steeper angle would allow the play to be spread out across the screen better, with players cutting deep being more-similar in size to the handler. (In contrast, low-altitude shallow-angle makes far players much smaller.) Which do you prefer? Low-altitude (like at the beginning) or higher-altitude (like at 6:20)?

Sorry about the poor framing and following from 7:05 to 7:30; I was blinded by the sun and disoriented trying to get the camera to lean down enough to remove the glare. And, sorry about the perpetually-spinning camera at 14:50-15:10; I got disoriented by the double-turn and it took me a while to get back into position.

Thanks Gavin. We definitely got slower after the first hour, primarily due to the relatively hot conditions that day and artificial turf didn't help. Thanks also for documenting my poor decision making at 7:15. You should send your videos to someone in USA Ultimate, so they can consider using such drones for their video footage as well. These videos are better than most "professionally" made Ultimate videos i have seen.

My wife says that the "rafter" of wild turkeys that live in the woods around our house were quite vocal and mobile all day, so I expect the bobcat was hunting for a nice big meal.
