On any journey I religiously pack the 'cheerfulness under adversity' as issued/beaten in to me by The Duke of York and Albanys Maritime Regiment of Foot which gets me in/out of any situation on various bike trips.
Had the 2018 yellow DL1000 and enjoyed it. Now have a 2015 DL650 and it really is a fun bike. It isn’t as good on the boring freeway, but it is more than adequate. But it is better at everything else. End of the day it gives a surprising capability off road and it’s more fun riding a slow bike fast in my opinion. These guys undersold the 650.
It's been a quite while since this review got released but I'd rate it 10/10 just for not playing that EnglishbikerDan-style POV shit throughout the whole video. Shit just pisses me to no end. I'm here to watch the goddamn motorcycle in motion, not the dude's fucking dashboard.
I'm trying to bend my safety boots in all directions really hard but I cant. If the steel toe gets crushed in safety work boots then its the same with motorcycle boots you will have the same damage to your toes anyway.
2003 R1150GS found it on eBay , flew up to Seattle on a spirt airline $ 65.00 flight with a 2 hour lay over in Vegas , with my helmet as my carry-on , took a Uber to Carmichael where I met the seller , he had the bike in a garage all to it self , he didn't use it for commuting just his touring , he had aced the abs , stickerss on the two aluminum hard cases , up graded the suspension , and I walked around the bike , listening to him talk about what he up graded and where he had gone , he was moving to Florida and the cost of shipping it , was to much , I saw his pics of the places he had gone , and I didn't even try to bargain with him on the price , I just laid out the $ 4,800.00 on his toll box and listened to the rest of his talk for the next hour , he stoped and asked me didn't I want to hear it run before I laid the $ money down , and I just smiled , said I didn't have to as his story and how that bike was stored in that garage said everything , I rode it back to Los Angeles. it was mid December two years ago , jeans , flannel shirt , a great leather motor cycle jacket , about 1/2 way , midnightish , close to Bakersfield , My knees turned into rock , and my finger tips were numb , I found a motel 8 , and well I now have a pair of real nice thermals and motorcycle pants and a set of gloves Santa would die for 😎
I wouldn't want to see that - Itchy Boots is her own gig - she is a solo act, and a RU-vid content creator, not a actor....Ewan and Charley play well off of each other and have a great dynamic with a long standing friendship and both are actors - besides three's a crowd (Claudio excluded lol) ......each brings their own unique perspective to adventure motorcycling that should not be blended.
I just acquired an E1 - and I am so impressed. Comfort and build quality are amazing. Its a relatively low-volume helmet with a chin bar that does not protrude too far forward. Agree with your review here - which is very well done. I measure 59.5 cm and the Large fits well - it was slightly too tight at first but after a week of riding, the interior lining compressed as it should and the fit is now very comfortable. I tried a XL Schuberth helmet and it was much too large for me.

Capable of 90mph? Ive had 115mph out of my 525. Never had to top up on oil either on my 450 exc rfs or my 525. Only oil changes every 15-20 hours and your ready to rip!
Lemme get this straight your telling me what gear to ride in?? I'm lost as to what the hell this video is even about :/ rides around on a rally bike that is much to tall for such a short inseam and no off road riding and complains the whole time with a retro poser helmet and I am somehow supposed to use this how???
I have just discovered this series on RU-vid and am loving it. It combines the best of Top Gear (whatever happened to that show, it literally imploded) and all the best online motorcycle content into a very watchable, professionally made, slick series. I can't wait to devour every episode. I agree with another comment that this excellent show deserves to be better publicised, it is one of the very best biking programmes around and deserves a massive audience.
I have a CF moto 650 nk ( the same engine as this bike ) and for the first 1000 - 1200 miles I was a bit disappointed and underwhelmed by the bike but now at plus 1500 miles plus and with everything bedded in . The engine runs much smoother and freer now and is a completely different bike . So with knowledge im really looking at a moto morini X-cape 👍
Danny is so talented. I first saw him in Starlight Express, but of course it is his character "Cat" in Red Drawf that will forever shine. To discover that he is a also biker is the cherry on the cake.
damn this is such hidden gem, if youd take just tire comparison stuff and put it in 10mins video with proper name it would prolly make hudred thousands of views ; anyway cheers good work ;
