Absolutely! I have a 2013 Kia Optima. On my way home from work, it died on the highway! Kia replaced my engine asap without any problems. But it's knocking again. Also, I took it in for the security recall and had to wait 3 hours, when they said it would be a 2-hour fix for the work to be done. I had enough of the waiting, and the mechanic told me all it was to put a sticker on the windows. I was upset!!

I made sure I had the kds on my car 2019 kia when I came across your video years ago. The first time my kds went off ( code1326) was this pass June. Code for bearing rods. They did bearing test and it pass. Has to replace my KDS (new update). I ended up with the faulty engine.

I leased a 2023 Kia Forte in August of 2023. The Check Engine Light came on at 4:45pm on Friday 7/26/24. It thuds into gear from Park. I can't drive faster than 45 mph. The earliest appointment I could get at the dealership was Thursday 8/1/24. I bought your handbook but it doesn't seem to relate to 2023 Kia Forte as far as the year. Have to dig further.
Please I need help with my situation. I got a 2016 Kia last year with 7,000 mile broke down at almost 9,000. I went as far as talking to the corporate and they told me since I was the second owner and the previous owner didn't do the recall that I don't qualify for that warranty
Mine died a few years ago. Right before the warranty period was up. It was fate. They replaced it along with the ECU free of charge, and even gave me a free rental car. Took three weeks to do the repair. Was a 2010 Forte Koup SX.
So I got my engine replaced and now my battery dies start away after I turn it on (it is not the alternator) does anyone else have issues after fixing it?

I have a 2014 Optima LX 124,000 mi., at the time. Yup, the place I go to fix my car said to say "RECALL". "There's recall on my car." I said the recall word. They will only give you 10 days of rental. My engine blew just blew 2023 xmas day, coming home with my kids in the car, on the highway. It just seized in the middle of highway. I kept the kids calm. INSANE!!! I DID NOT GET MY CAR BACK UNTIL JUNE 2024! Xmas day-June they kept my car. INSANE they kept my car that long and only gave e 10 days of rental. My job is a driving job as a traveling nurse. Thank goodness I had a job that was willing to uber me. They will refuse to give me any rental pass 10 days! They told me to get a rental and they'll do reinbursement for 50%-80%. Who has an extra $1500 a month?! You're keeping my car for this long?! Even from research some people never received that. I saw a car lot of cars online of kia recalls. It was insane how large of recalls was sitting in that one lot. WOW! I got an engine replaced, HCU, ECU, ALARM etc. It was 5 things. The box is too small and can cause a fire they told me. They have to replace it. They tried their best not to replace engine. They took it to corporate. But they found I was on time with all maintenance from a professional garage. They try to get out of it. They couldn't find anything, so they fixed mine. They'll def deny if they find out you fixed anything from home. 6 months I was out of car. Why did my car come back with a problem I didn't have when I gave it to them? I had hole in my flex pipe. My flex pipe was fine when I sent it in. My car was so quiet and ran beautifully before the engine just seized out of nowhere.. $600 repair for flex pipe, along with some other things that came up? Total repair $3500, for other stuff they said they found. I guess they wanted some money out of me, since I got so much done for free. I'm taking my car to someone else, not the dealer. I def had no issue with my flex pipe until they gave it back. I had a tiny hole he said. I left that kia dealer, my car was so loud cause of "tiny hole" in my flex pipe I had "all of a sudden. "
I have A 2.4 Theta II on a Tucson 2019 in Canada. Mine started burning oil like crazy around 95k, now at 115k It is unbearable (the whole engine in 1.000km/620mi). I tried going through the regular process hoping it would say a rod bearing, piston, or crank was bad (cuz there's a finalized class lawsuit in Canada) and my car was denied an engine replacement. -.- Luckily, I bought the extended warranty (120k/7yrs) and it just got approved for engine replacement, although the fucking dealer never mentioned that it could be done through that, I had to find out by myself, but when I got it they said it was only for electronics (DAFUQ?). In theory, the dealer just ordered everything, I have to wait 2/3 weeks for parts and should be called in. Do you know if that problem is fixed in the new engine I am supposed to get? The dealer, very suspiciously said it was fixed. I doubt. hahahaha

I’ve had 4 engines in my 2013 optima SXL, luckily they have replaced them. I’m glad to know it’s only a 3-4 day turn around to get a rebuilt engine now. When it first was happening we had to wait months to get replacement engines 😂😂.

I got screwed, dealer wants five grand for the motor can’t optimum said they’d call me back and not to call them again and that I would either pay half or they would pay for the Kia in full and it was a 50-50 chance. Still haven’t heard a reply, and that was two months ago I believe or getting close to it
Hi Carl, I just seen this video.. thank you so much I’m from CT. We have this Kia Sedona 2018, it has a 163k and it has a regular oil change at the Kia. But, last week, July 12, we went to NJ and along the way goin there, the engine light lit up at noon time. I thought it lit up because it’s almost time for its oil change.The car still drive smoothly,Going back back home at midnight, the car start slowing slowing down . I was with my wife and and mother in law. I checked the engine, the fluids. And found out the engine is out of oil. The oil dip stick is dry. I asked my son to buy me oil. After an hour, about 115am, my son came with the oil. And fill up the engine. The engine starts again and went home safely. We brought the minivan at he Kia dealer the following Monday and told them the story. Now, they said, we need to replace engine. I asked them why? They said bec the engine burnt all the oil and some of the valve got broken. but I replied that .The car had a regular engine oil change with them. There’s no indication at all that it’s burning oil. There’s no oil leakage. Exhaust is clean, no oil on it.. I ended up still paying them for the diagnostic and they said there’s nothing they can do about it bec the 150k warranty passed already. Bec the mileage is now 163k. They’re asking $8500 for engine replacement. Is there a way you could help me out… ?
