Follow Roberts Race Cars by BBB as we work and race across the southeast. We race dirt Modifieds and dirt late models at a local level with great support from the famous Zach Rushing. Come hangout with us and maybe learn a few thing as I’m sure we will learn plenty from our viewers!
I miss the old super stock class that became now a pro latemodel class with outlaw bodies it got really expensive. I have a old super stock metric based chassis basically like a pro truck except we could run bigger built motors that made more power and had to run a 2bbl holly 500 or 4bbl with a crate motor. And the cars was a blast to drive very fast and cheaper to run then latemodel stuff
Nice ride man i ise to race at fove flags and mobile for years in pro trucks and sportsman and old super stock class until they became outlaw lates. I was one of the first pro trucks to race at mobile we ran with super stocks. Great looking car and Pensacola was my fav track and sunny sputh was my second fav cause i started racing rhere when i was 10 in a mustang ministock in 03. But rubbing a outlaw stock/super stock or pro truck at Sunny South is a blast. Mobile is fun its a wire open track. Look up a guy named chris wagner he can help you with coil overs and setup he got my super stock setup shock and spring wise only and pucked up almost half a second cause the whole big spring latemodel chassis stuff we had was new to us. He is one of the best.
I found something out about Black diamond if you put your rear end in full droop your shock mount makes the shape of a J so at the extended part of the top of the curve of the J you take the drive shaft put it at 0° which is under acceleration then you have to go and measure your smash numbers then you have to go to the rights rear and measure your smash numbers then you can get a corrected ride height for your setup and your springs That means your fifth arm is disconnected so that you will be in continual droop That way you get maximum four-wheel drive without blowing the tires off
Wpuld love to see a non winged 410 race there.. i started racing at sunny sputh when i was 10 bacl in 02 and they ran super trucks pro latemodel few super late races modifieds old atyle miji stock class i ran in with a mustang 4 cylinder as my forst eber racecar, they also ran.bombers sportsman legends and bandos and stingers every friday night they ran most of those classes except super lates and pro lates only ran a few times a season rest of the cara ran full time and the modifieds was a beast of a class to watch run there. Fast-forward many years i got to race my super stock there whoch was a balst with a 510 hp limited latemodel basically is what it was with a metric chassis and that was a handful ckuldnt imagibe a 410 spront there
Glad to hear eyes are healed. With a new car and track come new challenges, but car and driver are improving. I like the drone footage. Good work camera man.
Thanks for posting this video, I'm thinking about getting into IMCA modifieds. I know back in the day I used to have a book. I wonder if I can still get that book
If you think about it when using a load stick, it only reads when the corner is off the ground so as long as you don’t change your center to center measurement, it won’t change no matter what you do but if it’s on the scales, of course it will change if you put rounds in any corner, they all move.
Car looks awesome. You will get the hang of asphalt. Hope you can make it the 22nd. I will be there all weekend, if you need anything or I can help you in anyway I will be in 3/4 with the wreckers! Skyler can get ahold of me as well!
