It is an absolutely lovely idea, I hope it will make it through! Are you planning on expanding the series with larger wheel sizes? While I see the obvious advantages of having a small wheel in the front, a 20" wheel looks somewhat weird when paired with 29" in the back:P
What`s wrong with a simple trailer. No steering problems and always good viability with big loads and you can remove it at leisure. You could even motorize the trailer to push you along, cool. When I was 15 many moons ago I had a shop delivery bike delivering boxes of groceries around the countryside, so this is nothing new except that you can fit it to any bike.
This looks interesting, I think I would add amber LED's to the ends of the battery box to help other drivers judge your width better at night on busy roads without cycle lanes like here in the UK.
