I have watched so many videos on connecting the binding and struggled with each method. THIS worked! Thank you for making it so clear and easy to follow. I FINALLY got it!
OMG. This is a game changer. I have had tears and frustration over this method. I have seen other videos. This video is FANTASTIC. I did it first time no issues. I can’t thank you enough
Brilliant! But (as someone pointed out below) use painter's tape . . . won't leave any mark or residue on fabric when used ON TOP OF FABRIC for quilting projects . . . I hope. Will try, fingers crossed 😊
Thank you for your clear instructions on how much fabric is needed and how to do miter the corners. Mine weren't perfect but came out better than I had hoped. I just need to practice more.
It infuriates me when people say, “We’re doing this by hand.” but then the video starts with the binding is already attached BY MACHINE and there are no instructions on how to attach it by hand on at least one side. Sorry I had to give this a thumbs down.
You must not have watched the video. She attached the binding to the front of the quilt by machine and then hand-sewed the binding to the back. This is pretty typical for quilters to do.
@JenniMeer I have had the same problem! This is the only video I've found that explains doing the whole binding process by hand: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nRkdbwLqoFA.htmlsi=sE-AX6LdSuKL8CDA
I do not understand why joining bias tape is so difficult for me! I watched this video over five times, but I got it!!! Woohoo! Thank you for explaining how to do this in a way that made sense!
U can use a quilt ruler edge, like a quick scrapper (try different size rulers for ur personal need) to smooth out wrinkles and air pockets for each layer of quilt being basted....the quilt ruler edge gives a smoother and more efficient and taut smoothing out than using the palms of ur hand.
