My name is Ivana Lalicki. I created this channel for people who appreciate good food, who are creative and want to learn new things. You will find here a video collection of the most popular recipes from my "So i biber" blog and some of them are from my "American cookbook".
Although I like to make food from different cultures, most of my recipes are from American and Balkan cuisine, since I live in the U.S where I came from Serbia. This is the reason why my videos are in Serbian and English. Most of my recipes are for basic dishes and desserts, but often with some twist, that makes them even better.

Ahhh... Ne znam da li da gledam recept ili slušam muziku. Sve je po mom ukusu. I pasta I Dalida. Ne mogu da kažem da ću već danas praviti, ali čim temperatura spadne ispod 35° zasukaću rukave. ❤🍝
Hvala na lepim rečima. Nama se poslednjih dana desilo savršeno leto, nema vrućine a ni vlage, pirka vetrić, noću otvaramo prozore, milina. Tada može i da se nešto lepo skuva. Želim ti isto uskoro!
@@ivanalalicki I just made some last night it was magnificent. I simmered the garlic in some grapeseed oil while roasting the peppers. Then I cooked the peppers and eggplant for a while to evaporate the water and it got thick. I slowly stirred in the garlic and oil with some sea salt. I water bath canned it for 15-20 mins for half pints.
Excellent recipe and video! I have started utilizing Ajvarski peppers that I grow. Delicious and high yield plants. I get the seeds online at Baker Creek Seeds.

@ivanalalicki I bought my first jar from Walmart, I didn't want to open it then eat it with out cooking just in case it might get u sick,that's why I asked if you need to cook it first?
That looks delicious...One tip my baba left us was to cut the vegetables with a wooden knife...I really don't know if this made a difference, but hers was amazing.
Da...to je to... Mi pravimo ovakve u NY. Tei dana traje proces...kolicina je naravno veca. To je muski posao, treba snage jer se radi hladno testo. Postoji I druga varijanta ...brza...ali ovo je pravi kroasan
Zacini apsolutno nista neznace za pecenje tuke. Pecite tuku na sto manjoj temperaturi sto duze. Manja temperatura, duze pecenje. Premazite tuku sa soy sauce za dobitak boje. To je to. Nemoj te je puniti ni sa cim. Sva ta punjenja se prave posebno. Sve zacine koje stavi te na tuku se slizu u kontainer i ako ste stavili vrat ili djigarice ispod tuke onda imate specijatilet.
It's not only serbian food...it's more like Balkan's... To be honest, the best ajvar comes from Macedonia... Politicki si nekorektna kad kazes da je srpski 😉

As a half turk, who cares. The country origin obsession is annoying. Just enjoy the food and the similarities of our cultures. Why the caps? Are we SHOUTING?
Ma ovo je super,ali,mislim da je lipse kozice koristit sa rizom(rizot) nego ovako pofrigat...onako ispadne socnije...ipak,i ovo je lipo...extra👍...sve je lipo...fala na videu...pozz iz Dalmacije!

Let’s get things straight….first of all the ONLY Macedonia which exists is Greece and secondly Ajvar is and always was Serbian. It’s sad that people try to steal other countries history but facts are facts
I have just tried this recipe and the ajvar is absolutely gorgeous. Thank you! 😊 Just one question, how long the ajvar will last if stored in a dark and cool place?
I am glad you like it. If you apply the method described in the video you can preserve ajvar for a few months in a dark and cool place. However, I always keep ajvar in my fridge, because I am not sure that my pantry is cold enough, so I never tried it.
@@salsaslinger7585 Never heard of it, it's an American brand, from NYC. I always buy the Balkan brands such as Mama's and Granny's Secret, they are the best.
@@BigSaleGolem proverila sam i zaista je reč paprika srpskog porekla. Taj naš naziv su prihvatili Mađari. Međutim, u engleskom paprika znači mlevena paprika, zbog mađarske mlevene paprike koja je vrlo cenjena. Oni imaju drugu reč za papriku, pepper.
