Every DD fan hates this version, but fuck that this one's the best ever, it was fun and there where awesome cars and charachters with side stories. Fun to upgrade your cars and see your opponets get tougher after each season. Too bad they never made the Car Parts menu available, and I've never seen the multiplayer in action but I bet it was hella fun. I hope Sony decides to put this one on PS4 with the online function back up!
The franchise dies because critics saw the rest of the game as a realistic racing game. It was. And this studio, who didnt even invent the franchise, made a great game but made the style transition from realistic to cartoon like too harshly. should have made it over the course of 2 maybe 3 games. Because of this desicion to rush the transition the game died along with the dev who owned the franchise at the time. Very sad.
jerry spring want to help me start an indigogo campaign to remaster dda? better graphics, a pc port, an xbone port, maybe a 360 and a ps3 port, and no bugs, more tracks, more cars, and mod supports? better crashes and animations, but still the crazy action of the original dda. Destruction Derby Arenas Revival would be a good name for the remake i think. or Destruction Derby Arenas Respawn, even though there is no respawning in the game.
Gt racing15 First i am only 14 years of age, and i haven't been trusted with a debit card yet (although i understand why, my recent years weren't exactly shining moments) So i have to wait for probably 2 more months for that. then i gotta start the indigogo, but it wont be a single man project. i hope. i want to hire artists, programmers and animators. and i would handle map design, and i would control the whole project. i would hope to fund out what game engine was used to make the original dda to find out if there is an update. if not, i might use Unity 5 or Unreal 6.
Wim Goeminne definitely gonna check it out. i think i have seen the Next Car Game and it shows promise. ofc its not gonna like DDA, its more like the older DD games but its gonna do for now. as for "Reincarnation" i look forward to it.
