I have much more experience with the cummins and I know how to get power out of them. Lol. Also many oem tractors use the cummins and seem to have great luck with them. And this won't get tons of hours either. So should last many many years.
@@AllisPeterson yep that's all perfectly reasonable. There are quite a few international guys that will take DT360s out of school buses and then use Cummins manifolds to put the turbo over the valve cover. Nothing wrong with a 6bt though.
Gotta love central Wisconsin and Southern Wisconsin soil zi was born in Kenosha and we had jet black loam had no bottom looked like potting soil!!!! My grandparents lived in Tomah and they had sandy loam... Wisconsin also has the best well water...
Unfortunately we didn't. It is dry here in Central Wisconsin. We finally got almost 3 inches of rain end of last week, but could still use that much again and more.
Yes while this is true. The more rotational mass will take more time to slow down. Which would in turn create more "torque". Which is what we are after. Also, this will still have less weight than what the N5-N6 combine motors have. The flywheel on them is even heavier yet than this one.
Nice weight bracket i have a Deutz Allis 9170 and it gets front light on some implements. Where can you get a 14 weight bracket? If it doesn't work i can always try a Deutz Allis 7145 bracket if i can find one.
8010s are inherently lazy because the little 301 is to small for the frame size, especially a fwd. You could tune it up some but you will just shorten the life of the little 301 making her work so hard.
Love your videos, I worked for an Agco dealer in NE Kansas in the mid to late 2000. During my time there we had an 8050 come in with a window in the block. I installed what we were told was the very last brand new short block that Allis Chalmers/Agco had left in inventory. Awesome to see you keeping these old machines going
The aspirated system used the venture system to make the air cleaner negative pressure. Inside the Muffler, the nozzle should be facing the same direction of the exhaust flow through the Muffler. This might be the reason for positive pressure in the air cleaner. This might be one of those ideas that was good on paper by engineering.
Allis Chalmers engineering department was rushed to get the 8000 and 6000 series tractors into production. It was just good enough to get them moving down the assembly line. I like how you're approaching this project. Allis Chalmers used parts from the trucking industry. They had skilled machine workers to fabricate most of the brackets and supports that were needed. You have some great troubleshooting skills to notice what's not working right in the field.
Definitely hit on 2 of the weak points of the 426: hard starting and lack of lugging power Hope your tinkering finds solutions to both of those problems
Torque limiter, but it's getting a upgrade in the engine. I'm getting a video edited shortly with what I'm doing with it. I will be doing multiple video's of the work.
