The foul smelling fish you have come to hate are called boops boops in english.. not kidding thats their name. I caught them when fishing in the canary island. Little buggers tend to shit all over you when you are trying to unhook and release them. Foul smelling indeed!
Oh man I'm so glad you know the smell. It's horrible haha. Can you imagine that when I first moved to Spain I did a catch an cook with one of those fish🤢.there is a video🤦♂️ They call them Bogas here in Spain. Tight lines and thanks so much for the comment🍻🤙
Hi @MsBuckles. Thanks so much for your comment. May I ask what students you have? I am quite curious now😁 thanks for the kind words and I am happy your students found it enjoyable 🙏
@@JLFishing76 ahh Rocky Bay is such a great spot. So many good fishing spots around there. Iv got quite a few videos from fishing at Rocky Bay Caravan spot. I really miss the south coast. 🤙 Let me know how the fishing goes!
Great video. Will be visiting and hopefully fishing Andalusia over the next 2 weeks. Bringing a light travel setup and of course Gulp sandworms plus a few lures. Any tips on where/how to fish in the area would be greatly appreciated.
Hey man that's awsome. Yeah the worms will be great. Also a little sardine or "massa" paste is great for Sargo. I have a video showing how to make it. So my set up is just a float on the main line down to a swivel and my leader. Some spit shot leads and a small hook. Set your depth and fish around the rocks in the white water. Also depends on what your fishing for but I'm sure you will come right🍻🍻🤙
Hy Kevin, I'm from spain and the species that you caught its not really a sargo, it is true that it's from the same family, but here it is called a Variada or a Mojarra, very nice video by the way!
That was a very good video!!I would like to recomend some baits for you to try on sargos/obladas, here in spain it's called "massa" , it's basically dough made with flowr, water and some sardine
Hey bro, ah thanks for the advice and information. Learning as much as I can. I have made that bait "massa" before in a previous video but I had no luck. Il give it another try. Cheers man thanks again and I really appreciate the comment 🤙🍻
Hi Kevin I think you will find those bream are two banded bream the sago or white bream just has stripes and a spin on the tail like a black tail in Sa
Hey man thanks yeah you are absolutely correct. I recently uploaded a video last week where got some sargo. Or at least I think they they were sargo? If you have a look let me know if I am wrong🤙🤙 Cheers man and I miss fishing in SA.
